The perfect Yoshi game
This is an amazing game and worth buying a Wii U just for this game (Nintendo has announced that this along with no other Wii U games will be ported to switch - the Wii U games that haven't been ported are now only on Wii U).The game itself is as challenging as Yoshi's Island but the controls are much easier to deal with. It's a tribute to that old game while also being its own thing. The art style is great and the graphics are amazing for a console that came out in the 2010s. There's a lot of replayability to it because if you're a completionist, like I am, you'll be going into levels multiple times to get the flowers, stamps (gems), yarn, and completing each level with full health which gives you a star for that course. Of course the flowers and yarn are probably the most important collectibles because flowers unlock special courses in each world and the yarn will grant you access to different colored Yoshis (some of which are really cool even for a hardcore green Yoshi fan) after each level but only if you get all 5 yarn bundles in each level.I had actually played Yoshi's crafted world on Switch in Mellow Mode and decided to do this game in classic mode. I think classic mode is perfect for this game because the game itself is not hard to complete as far as just clearing courses but the challenge comes from the different strategies and puzzle solving skills you need to complete at least one stage per world. Each of the 6 worlds have their own distinct personalities. Each level has a lot of personality and game mechanics that are so well designed that you are slowly introduced to new ways of playing the game at the start of each level and then it gets harder as the level goes on. Then you take those lessons and apply them to the next level and so on. Really well designed and I am not a big gamer. I'm a very casual gamer who got sucked into this game because of how great it looked and how cute Yoshi looks made of yarn. I really only picked up a Switch and Yoshi's Crafted World because of my daughter who wanted to play it but couldn't because she's young and just had me play while she watched and then I discovered Wooly World on YouTube and was hooked. I had to have this game. Compared to Crafted world this game is a lot more challenging but more fun because of it. Both games have their charm and I love both but Wooly World has a slight edge of Crafted because it seemed just a little more challenging from the start whereas Crafted gets challenging at the end but to an absurd degree. Both games have a lot of replay value.I have now completed every level and gotten every collectible and am now going through the special stages that I skipped. After every achievement new things are unlocked like the scrapbook theater which lets you view enemies and listen to the soundtrack as well as watch any cut scene you like and the boss tent which has you go through each boss but at a higher difficulty level and without having to run through their castles to get to them. For instance each boss will move faster and faster with each round you do in the boss tent. But even for someone who just wants to play the levels from start to finish the game has a way of luring you into collecting things and finding hidden items and platforms all on its own. I'll sometimes be trying to run quickly through a level just to get the star for full health and get sidetracked because I want to collect some hidden item even though I collected it on a previous run.Overall a great game for adults and children alike. Tons of fun and honestly worth buying a dead console just to play this game. Amazing Yoshi game that draws heavily from Yoshi's Island, improves on some aspects of Yoshi's Story's abilities while dropping a lot of what made that game bad, and also adds its own unique style so it really is a continuation or evolution of Yoshi rather than just Yoshi's Island with better graphics or a good version of Yoshi's story. This game and Crafted World are great and the mellow mode is super handy if you want a more stress free, easy way to play because it gives Yoshi wings and you can just fly wherever you like and avoid enemies and easily get to hidden places in every level. But I recommend classic mode because it's more fun that way and the game isn't that difficult to begin with.

Like new condition
I was very happy that this game came in it's original case and in like new condition. It played perfectly and my kids and I spent plenty fun filled hours playing and defeating this game. It's colorful and fun for all ages.

Super chill game
This game is built to be much more chill than normal platformers.Which means that it is great for beginners but doesn't offer much challenge.I had a lot of fun playing co-op with my GF, which is what I got it for.The environments are the most interesting part.Saving the different, looking, playable yoshis makes exploration worth it.But the lack of challenge kept me from coming back as much as I would like, I didn't get through the whole game--not sure if I ever will go back and play that long.Likely this game is for younger players, even when compared to other older yoshi games.

A must for anyone crafty
Adorable game. The art is amazing- the graphics and detail of everything in all the worlds being made of yarn, buttons, and fabric is so precious. Takes a little while on startup, but it's worth the wait. The music is cute as well. In terms of gameplay, I've found myself not losing interest even playing the same levels twice. There's a lot you need to do to get a star on the level- collect all the yarn, all the flowers, all the stamps hidden in gems, and finish with perfect health. It poses a great challenge for a perfectionist like me who wants the star above every level. The neat part about this game is that there's two modes of difficulty- mellow and classic. Younger kids can enjoy mellow mode and older kids can enjoy classic. Mellow doesn't dumb down the game but it gives Yoshi wings which allow him to stay in the air for a longer period of time. Multiplayer is also very cool in this game- simply tap a yoshi amiibo to the gamepad and enter player two. This game is worth what I paid for it, it has 5 worlds with 8 levels & 1 secret level in each. It's a solid amount of gameplay and I have yet to encounter "repeats" in level construction or playout. A great aspect of this game is there's no time limit, giving you all the time you need to explore secret areas and go back through the level (which is also a great feature) to collect any missing items. This game is fun, aesthetically pleasing, and very addictive. I would buy it again!

Cute wool like animation but the game is too short.
The animation is super cute. Reminiscent of Yoshi's island as far as the shooting tool goes and a bit too similar to Kirby's jewel collecting levels. The game is fun to play kids as it is very kid-friendly in terms of animation, content, and how easy it is to aim/shoot and overall control. I didn't give it a 5 star because the game is very short. My 6 year old kid and I finished the game in less than a week. Overall a great game.
