Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Top Hits! Christmas Level 1a

I'm a 40-year old beginner. Never had a lesson, but I do understand basic notes/scales. The hand positioning chart is really helpful for someone like me who has never had a lesson and needs to understand proper form, rather than just banging around on the keys.Within a few tries, I was able to get the basic melody. I only wish there were more songs and by the time I get the hang of these, I'll be sick of Christmas music for the next 11 months.

My son loves this piano book. He's been playing songs from it every day without me reminding him to practice. Lots of fun Christmas songs!

Great piano book for beginning kids. Each song has an accompanying duet at the bottom of the page, making the music fun to play for family and friends. Our piano teacher used this book for our Xmas recital and all of the songs were beautiful.

I've only been playing about a year and this was a great intro book. I have others that are either too hard or too easy, but this seemed to be the perfect amount of both. I can't play all the songs but there is a good variety and I know soon enough I will be able to play more. I recommend this over other intro Christmas books.

The quality of the paper is great, the print is clear and my daughter loves it!

I bought this book for my son who has been playing for three months, he does well with two hands and can play most of the pieces after a couple run throughs. During her first lesson, my daughter's teacher assigned two of the very simple pieces and my daughter was also able to play them. If you have been playing very long at all, these may be too simple for you. Still fun to play!

I'm a piano dabbler. I learned as a child but never got beyond an advanced beginner level. Every year I learn a couple of Christmas songs. This book was perfect for my level and the songs are really nicely arranged. I wish there were more Alfred's books like this for the rest of the year!

I really love this book for students who have been playing 6 months or more. I do not like that EVERY alfred Christmas book level has the same songs over and over. I would love if they would have different songs for different levels.

Fairly easy to play pieces for an adult beginner like me. It helps if you are already familiar with the tunes and original rhythms though.
