Nice, long pins for breadboarding.
These pins are great for breadboarding. They are long enough to a) reach down into the breadboard holes and on the other end b) long enough to easily attach a 'scope probe or connector. Beware of breakaway headers that are made for PCB's and are short on one end.

Great for connecting breadboard female to female headers/cables, or soldering a longer header to allow breadboard cables to connect on both faces of a PCB.

Just what is needed when you need to preserve GPIO pins on both sides
I had a need to place a microcomputer into a USB/Ethernet IO Board -- which took all access to the GPIO pins (as that is what snapped into the IO Board). These roughly double-length pin-headers allow you to have the GPIO pins extend from both sides of your microcumputer/microcontroller. Now the Duo snaps into the USB/Ethernet IO Board chassis and I still have a full set of GPIO pins to make use of on the top-side.

Breadboard Headers ==> These work well.
They're basically a quality product. Not a whole lot to go wrong really...Correct pitch and they're not brittle or anything...

Not Metal Cubes
Though the pins extend long enough to perform top and bottom connections on a pcb (like the yellow ones), the center connections that break away are plastic. The shiny picture makes them look like the pins are already connected with metal; the cubes are plastic, just like in the larger variety packs. Unless they sent me the wrong product.

Connected two female connections.
The symmetric design let me easy connect two female connectors together by using this in between them. Easy to cut to length.

Hard to find long 0.1" header for connecting test equipment
Fits my testing requirements perfectly. Easy to snap to size and the long pins make it really easy to connect Logic analyzers and scopes to the test board sockets.

Makes great Lipo Charging Leads
I use these to make a charging lead for charging one cell in a Lipo battery. One or two cell may be hard to balance when charging all at the same time. I make a lead that allows me to charge or discharge the cells that are out of balance compared to the other cell. This way, I do not have to over charge or try to discharge the higher voltage cells. These pins are just great for this purpose.
