Active i Video Recording Sunglasses with 1.5-Inch LCD Viewer and 2 GB Memory (25200)

What a piece of junk!It worked for 2 weeks and then just froze up every time when you turned on the power and wouldn't do anything unless you pressed the reset button.Even after pressing the reset button, it would freeze up again when you turn on the power.I sent a message through Active-I's web site and never got a confirmation E-mail that they got the message that I sent through their site and never got any reply from them!I also sent a E-mail to the seller through Amazon and they replied stating to wait until I heard from the manufacturer Active-I.After another week of nothing from Active-I, I called Amazon to try to get a new pair of video sunglasses.The customer service rep was very helpful and filed an Amazon A to Z guarantee for me.Only 1 day later, Amazon A to Z guarantee refused to do anything because I didn't contact the company within 14 days or ship it back within 30 days.I replied back to Amazon that the seller told me to wait until I heard from the manufacturer, which I never did and Amazon never reviewed my E-mails with the seller that went through Amazon!If the seller would of stepped up right away and told me to contact Amazon, it would have been within the 30 days to ship it back.Now, the seller only wants to refund my money and make me pay to ship it back to them when I asked for a new pair of video sunglasses and it was originally shipped for free.I replied back to Amazon A to Z that I would never buy anything electronic, mechanical, or of any substantial value ever again through their site!I will also never recommend their site to anyone again!I contacted Amazon only 1 day after the 30 days of it being shipped; even though, it was still within the 30 days of me actually getting it!!The Amazon A to Z guarantee isn't worth garbage and they don't care about someone who uses their site frequently and has spent several thousands of dollars the last few years on their site!Don't waste your money on this product because the company Active-I isn't helpful when you have any problems with it!Plus, Amazon A to Z guarantee isn't thorough in their investigation because if they would of reviewed my messages with the seller that went through Amazon, they would of known that I did what was needed to be done but the seller told me to wait, which then took me out of the 30 days from the product being shipped, which took 7 days for me to get it; technically, meaning that I only had the product 24 days before contacting Amazon about the bad product!So, if it would of even taken longer for me to get it, I would of even had less time to find out that the product is garbage and wouldn't of stood a chance of getting any help from Amazon!Amazon's A to Z guarantee is like if you were to buy a car that sat on the dealer's lot for months and the warranty started from the time the dealer got it and not at the time that you actually bought it and got the vehicle in your possession!SCREWED out of $90 by Amazon and Active-I!UPDATE: February 8, 2012The seller, Digital Express, stepped up and offer to send me a return shipping label so I don't have to pay to ship it back.However, they are out of stock of the Active-I video sunglasses so they can only offer to fully refund my money.I give Digital Express credits for stepping up when Amazon refused!I understand it isn't the fault of Digital Express for the bad product from Active-I and the poor A to Z guarantee by Amazon so I don't blame Digital Express for anything.I'll give Digital Express another credit once I do get the shipping label, send back the poor product from Active-I, and get a full refund.At least someone in this world takes pride in their work!Thanks Digital Express!Chuck

OK, four pair of low-cost, stealth video camera glasses, I guess it basically gets the job done. The video footage it takes is actually not bad for the cost. But for what I paid for it, the sound could've been a little bit better than it is. Second of all, these things are people supposed to be stealth. They are actually very bulky and cumbersome looking, but they tried to make them look rather sleek. Here is what would've made these glasses a lot better. First of all, they need to be a lot thinner. Then, they could've made it where as you can stream to a large rmedia source by Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. They have the input jack for the review reticle directly in front of the left arm of the frame, right in plain sight. They could've put that on the inside of the arm frame out of sight along with the buttons on top. If they were going to have a standalone review reticle, they could've made it big enough for you not to have to strain your eyes to view. I know it may sound like I'm trashing the product, and but I'm not. All I'm saying is that it's a good start and bare-bones basic And that might be a little bit pricey for being this basic.

It would be nice if I could get a pair of these that actually work! Ordered this product twice and had to return it on both occasions because I couldn't get it to work. I was pleased by the fact that this is about the only pair of camcorder sunglasses I ordered from Amazon.com - and I have been through half a dozen pairs!- with clear instructions that weren't badly translated from Chinese. They come in a nice-looking kit and the LED viewer is a helpful addition so that you don't have to wait to get to a ccmputer to see what you've recorded. However, as I said, they didn't work. I followed instructions and fully charged them but when I pressed the power button, the power would not go on. I had someone in our IT department look at them and he agreed that there was no way to get the power on. In addition, I had a lot of trouble inserting a micro SD card; had to repeatedly push it hard in order to get it in. What a disappointment!

The video glasses were a hit. My son loved them, however, the company took advantage of the demand for them by increasing the price at the last minute. Extreme Geek took advantage by raising the price by $20 over EVERY other company plus high shipping & handling. On top of that, they advertised a 2GB memory card was not included! Will not buy from them again. They took a good product and jacked up the price at the last minute to make a quick buck instead of keeping a loyal customer. Maybe they are young and will realize that repeat customers are better for business than jacking up the price the week before Christmas for a quick buck.

I did not receive all the part with it and the Lcd vewier does not work at all. I will never purchase another item this again. Icolud not evern return them because they did not send me any instruvtions on where to ship it and the phone number that was in there has you leave a message and no one ever calls you back. I would not reccommend this item to any one.

I purchased these as a curiosity mostly, but was impressed by the features and quality for the price. The recorded imagery has the quality of cell phone images of a few years back but is still usable. I wore a pair during a recent Jeep Jamboree (because I would wear sun glasses then anyway) and recorded live action without a hassle. The only issue is short battery life. I was able to record maybe an hour or so before the battery was dead. Simple enough to deal with as it recharges from a USB cable.

I must say that it was a bit of a chore for me to set up the software but, once that was done, I could not be more pleased. I hate to read instructions, so I missed the fact that you have to Format the Card before they will work. The Video and sound playback was great. I never leave home without them. You never know when you may be able to use them to capture some awesome event. The Price is too cheap, in my opinion. I have recommended them to all of my friends.
