A stellar Batman from the Arkham Asylum video game
The first two Batman figures from Square Enix's Arkham Asylum had some issues with durability, but fortunately the second series seems to have mended those quite nicely. Armored Batman portrays Batman as he appears in the video game Arkham Asylum once he changes into his fully armored costume. He's bigger and bulkier than the standard Batman but has a fantastic and intimidating appearance. This Batman means business! Coming in somewhere around 9 inches, Armored Batman is a very large figure with lots of great articulation, interchangeable hands, and great accessories. Here's a brief look at Armored Batman:The Facts:Articulation: Peg/post ankles, double jointed knees, true balljointed thighs, ball jointed abs, lateral shoulder hinge, peg/post elbows, peg/post shoulders, peg/post wrists, ball jointed neck, ball jointed head, peg/post cape segments (left and right).Accessories: 2 extra hands, batarang, grappling gun.The Positives:*The articulation is superb and durable on this figure, a definite improvement over the Joker from series 1. Lots of joints allow for some excellent poses, including unique joints like the lateral shoulder joints which allow the shoulders to extend out away from the side and across the torso.*The sculpt is excellent. The armored Batsuit is covered with intricate and weathered texturing. I like the headsculpt also. While it doesn't look like an exact replica of the in-game character model, it still is very definitively Batman.*I love that Batman comes with a batarang and his grappling hook gun. With all the companies producing Batman toys, you think you'd have plenty of these sitting around but that just isn't the case. Most action figure companies producing Batman toys seem to neglect Batman's most basic tools in order to give him wacky, oversized gadgets. Theseboth look fantastic and each come with a specific hand to hold them snugly.*The way the cape was done is excellent. The cape is permanently attached, but it is done so by peg/post joints making it articulated. Furthermore, the cape is done in multiple pieces allowing it to be spread out for gliding just like Batman does in the video game. I'm really happy with the execution of this piece. The Negatives:*This seems to be a problem for many Batman figures: The blades on Batman's gauntlets were bent. They're a softer material and really just don't want to spring back into place. Kind of dissappointing.Overall: I was really pleased with this figure. It's a fantastic Batman toy overalland looks great in a variety of poses. Square Enix seems to have really improved their QC issues, making this a worthwhile figure to snap up ifyou get the chance. He definitely stands out from all the rest of the Batmen on your shelf due to his size, his appearance, and his bulky armor.

Armored to Be Awesome!!!!
What, another Batman figure? I've already got a bunch of other ones! What makes this one so different from other Batman figures? As I mentioned in another Batman figure review, we've gotten several Batman figures made that've been made in the past decades that ranged from terrible to sheer-awesomeness. This figure breaks the scale of sheer-awesomeness. When I received this figure in the mail and was opening the box, I felt like I was once again an excited little boy opening a present that he's been anticipating for quite a long while on Christmas or on his birthday. To my surprise, I was blown over-the-top when I held the figure for the first time outside of the box. I don't normally collect large scale figures; mostly I collect 6-8 inch figures. However, this one is an exception. I'll tell you all there is to know about this astounding, wonderfully crafted figure, and here we go:-Sculpt is just dead-on! It looks exactly like how Batman was depicted wearing the armored suit in the Arkham Asylum video game. There's just no complaints that I have with the sculpt, nor any words to describe how excellent the sculpt is. Just simply state "I'm speechless!"-Paintwork is flawless! There were no paint errors I could find on the figure; everything was painted perfectly, especially with all the shadings that brings out the details of the sculpt; I was just in awe about how amazing this figure was painted! Way to go Play Arts Kai!-Articulation: FANTASTIC! This figure can be posed in any dynamic way, even the cape itself is poseable! You might find some of the joints on this figure tight, but just be real careful in moving the joints.-The figure comes with two open alternate hands, the bat claw, and last but not least, the batarang! Be really cautious when switching out the hands, but actually, I just realized that this figure comes with little instructions in the box that tell you to take cautions in handling this figure, so you'll be fine.-One thing I want to point out about this figure is that some parts of the figure are real delicate and if you're not careful enough, they are prone to breakage. If you do happen to experience some problems with the figure's joints if you decide to get this, use superglue to make the joints stay in place while retaining full mobility. Trust me, if you know how to do this properly, you'll be A-okay.Overall, I'm beyond impressed with this figure! There is just a lot of things that you can do with this figure in terms of dynamic posing and having fun with it. I've had a blast posing and playing around with this figure and I got to say, this is THE VERY BEST Batman figure that I have ever owned in my collection and I'm very happy that I made the decision to get this figure; I have not been disappointed with it at all, not even with the price that I payed for this. It's an EPIC figure, and I highly recommend this to all hardcore and casual Batman fans out there. Batman is armored to be awesome and will make a mind-blowing standout from all your other figures in your collection! Thank you for reading this review and I hoped it helped you to make the decision to get this outstanding figure.

Loved it until...
I was really looking forward to this figure, I got it at a great price and it was sent quickly. When I received it the shipping box was damaged and so was the figures box. I figured I was gonna display without the b ox anyway, so I opened it up and found that his arm popped right off and I could not reattach. The figure looks great, and I will reorder one day but disappointed in the mean time.

Cheap plastic
My first square Enix figure and my last I was very glad with the paint job size and everything but it the figure cannot pose at all and worse if all I move his arm to make him grab his grapple his arm came of and when I look it just broke I couldn't believe that he broke by just moving his arm I tough tut was an action figure but I guess not buy at if own risk if u do don't mess with it too much or it will break in your hands :/
