Excellent product!
Had major skin cancer removal and often must have skin biopsies taken. Developed allergy to every bandaid out there. Last reaction I developed blisters in a 4"x4" area all the way around my biopsy site and they scabbed and bled so between the biopsy and the blisters I was in a lot of discomfort. Was stuck in bed laying on 1 side because the biopsy was on my right outter upper thigh/hip and I couldn't find anything to cover the huge bleeding area without causing worsening reactions therfor couldn't wear clothing or anything and the area was so large from it all I couldnt find anything to even cover the area. In desperation I searched and found this product. It is expensive in my opinion, but I needed something. You cut the size piece you want from the roll. Peel off the back and place it on your skin. Then peel off the 2 top pieces and you are left with a thin soft flexible almost saran wrap feeling protective cover. It worked amazing! I was able to move around freely and shower and it kept the site clean. After wearing a piece about 15 hours I did develop raised irritations all along the very edge of the film. Was raised red bumpy places that itched badly. I learned I had to change it every 12 hours and move it slightly around when applying it each time or I'd get very itchy red bumpy welts forming but only along the edges. So I did have minimal reaction to this along the very edges but again, if I changed it every 12 hours and didn't apply in the exact same areas I was perfectly okay and had no reactions and never had reactions anywhere but the edges. Assuming I just have super sensitive skin. I also had to make sure the antibiotic ointments I used were not on any area I was applying this product or it would not stick and I wasted quite of bit of this product when the ointment spread and I thought I had it wiped off but would apply product and even a little ointment would cause it not to stick and would have to reapply. But, this stuff was amazing for me. I heal slow due to autoimmune diseases and other health problems. It took 4 months for a skin biopsy(shaved area) to heal and I used this every single day. I would recommend this to anyone who has allergic reactions to adhesives. It is clear so still allows the site to be visible, and is waterproof when applied correctly. I did use a small thin piece of gauze over my biopsy site initially and later on when it was healing I just applied ointment and this right on top of the biopsy area. This product does not stick to the gauze and I also would put ointment anywhere I did not want this product to stick, because it sticks to any dry area wound or not. I was able to wear pants and move freely with this product. I do feel it is expensive for what it is, but for my situation it was worth it. When I need another surgery or biopsy I will use only this product. I highly recommend this! I did not try swimming in our pool or soaking in water like a bath with this. I did shower with no issues as long as it was completely sealed all the way around, but I wouldn't risk swimming personally.

Best thing to come along since Band Aids!
I originally purchased Tegaderm at Walgreens to put over a medication patch that could not be covered, but, had to be worn for 3 days and was constantly starting to come off by the end of day 2. My doctor told me about Tegaderm . Walgreens sold the product in both name brand and generic, however both were very high in price so I decided to see if I could find it on Amazon. Unlike Walgreens, I found this marvelous big roll, and then ... I started finding all sorts of different uses for Tegaderm . My household now uses Tegaderm dressing for so many things, and this roll size is the best! As Tegaderm is breathable, yet waterproof, it is the perfect wound care product. It can be put over gauze to keep a dressing dry and clean for up to 3 days (maybe more but that is the longest I have personally left any on myself) without damaging your skin one bit. It can be put directly over minor cuts and scrapes with a little antibiotic cream on the actual wound to keep the sticky part from catching on the sensitive area while it heals. The transparent covering allows you see as the skin heals, letting you know when it is time to remove or change the bandage. It can be put on tattoos to keep them dry while still allowing them to breath. It's perfect for that pesky papercut that just need a day or two to heal. When you can't find a bandaid to either fit the awkward place needed, or .... you can't get a bandaid to stay. Perfect for covering up stitches too, just put some antibiotic ointment and gauze over the stitched up area and cover with Tegaderm and shower, swim ... get as wet as you want! I recently had an allergic reaction to Poison Ivy on the front of my leg and made a salve using baking soda, honey, and Extra Virgin Olive oil. I was able to apply a liberal coat to the entire rash on my lower leg and cover it all with Tegaderm overnight! The relief I experienced he next morning was absolutely wonderful. My oldest daughter was waiting tables when she got a tattoo on her wrist and used it to protect her tattoo from germs and spills in the kitchen area, she just applied a liberal amount of tattoo salve on the tattoo and placed the Tegaderm directly on top. ***** Be sure to clean the skin surrounding area that needs to be covered, wound, burn, tattoo, medical patch, stitches, etc ... with rubbing alcohol. Insure that any wound has protection from the Tegaderm, such as a gauze cover, or a liberal amount of ointment or lotion so that when it is time to remove the Tegaderm it does not pull or tug at anything that might hurt or cause injury. Peel of backing of off and place flat against the skin. Apply moderate pressure for approx 30 seconds with your hand. The Tegaderm will bond best when it gets warm. If you do these things properly, when you take the top pieces off, the Tegaderm will be so *****

Nice product for those sensitive to band aids
I have had multiple skin biopsies and basal cells removed, and the toughest part was often the post-procedure dealing with keeping it covered for days/weeks. I tried all types of bandages, but my skin is very sensitive and reacted very badly to everything I tried. I'd get bad rashes and swelling from the adhesive, not to mention being very itchy. Then I tried the Tegaderm patches from the store and they worked great. So I then ordered this roll and have been cutting to size to fit. They work great! Little to no skin irritation and they really stay put, even when swimming. Generally water proof - I can tell since I use non-stick gauze underneath and it is usually dry after swimming even a few hours. A little tricky to use at first (as are Tegaderm patches), but once you get it down it works great. They do stick well and are a little fussy removing, but do not hurt removing although I use a non-stick gauze pad, so the the Tegaderm is not directly contacting the healing wound in my case - I can't comment how this would be if directly contacted the wound. Would recommend for those very sensitive to band aid/adhesives.

This is great stuff
It's breathable, customizable (cut to size), doesn't irritate the skin, and very easy to remove without causing irritation. Excellent product, 10/10.

Hypoallergenic, not strong on sweat/water, long term leaves stubborn black residue
I'm allergic to adhesive, but this works well for me. Works MUCH better than the Nexcare products. I can leave it on for a week in areas that don't move a lot without a reaction. Note that wearing it for this long does leave a black sticky residue that is a bit stubborn to remove. In areas that do move a lot (e.g. fingers), it only lasts a day or two, tops. In terms of water resistance, it's pretty good, but not "proof" by any means. If a corner has started to curl or roll up, the water is just going to get underneath and exacerbate the curl. In high sweat areas, like the palm or side of the hand, forget about it. It's not going to stick for even an hour. It also doesn't seem to hold up well against light or heat; Having some on the back of my hand or wrist and mowing the lawn in 76 degree weather (F) caused it to lift right off my skin. This could be because of sweat, though.

Perfect for estrogen patches
Needed bandages to secure estrogen patches to myself otherwise they come off easily and that’s such a pain to deal with both monetarily and emotionally. I also have sensitive/thin skin that’s prone to allergic reactions and damage with regular bandage adhesives. I’ve been using Tegaderm for decades but didn’t know that it came in a roll (for non-hospital use). I love that I can tailor the size of the bandage and that it keeps the patch underneath secure and dry. My only problem now is figuring out how long it’ll take for me to use the entire roll!

this is a useless product
i bought a few rolls of this, but it's useless. It's impossible to separate the sticky part from the backing. By the time I discovered this, it was outside the return time... I I even purchased another one, but it's the same. I'm sure the seller obviously knows this product is not working...probably expired of stored in a hot environment

Great product
Holds very well and I love how it can be measured for the size you need. Easy to apply.
