Pentair 79206000 Sealing Ring Replacement Small Stainless Steel Niches

If you need one of these buy it now. I bought mine on Monday and paid $43 and change for it. Today, the day after delivery and installation on the niche, the priced dropped to $37 and change. I got beat out of $6.76. Not the money for sure. I expected Amazon to make this right and was told the price paid is the price. Disappointing response. Still, a quality sealing ring. Pool light looks great.Vinyl lined in ground pool installed 1990. Been fighting with this light and niche for a few years. Tried those rubber wedges. Not real effective as the notch in the bottom of the old sealing ring and the screw tab at the top were eroded away. Bought this ring. This thing is solid. Very robust. I am delighted with it. Had to remove the outer cover from the light (as if changing a bulb). Slid the new ring over the cord and reassembled the light. Removed two opposing screws in the existing ring, placed this one directly over it and rescrewed it with the two removed screws. Works like a charm and looks like it belongs. DO NOT remove all the screws and the old sealing ring from a filled vinyl pool. I be concerned about water getting behind the liner and also the screw holes in the liner moving away from the holes in the niche. If you are changing the liner soon then have the parts, including the gaskets, on hand. THAT is the time to monkey with the light and niche. But I am delighted with this purchase. More importantly- wife is happy too. Light no longer hanging by its cord under the diving board. And I did this while the pool was filled.
