General Mills Gold Medal Semolina Flour, 50 Pound

I received my flour today and I had no idea what it would even look like, as I have never made pasta before. My machine recommended half regular flour and half Semolina Flour. We made home made pasta a couple of days ago and it turned out perfect! It tasted just like the wide noodles I used to stand and make by hand and roll out for Chicken and Egg Noodle Soup. Absolutely delicious! Semolina Flour looks like a fine ground corn meal. But I read it is made from Durham wheat.This is a very good buy, and from a trust worthy company, General Mills has been around a long time. I read this can also be used to make bread and plan to try mixing some in with regular flour when I make bread again. I am sure it is very tasty.I did put it into smaller containers and freeze it for later, which is not recommended but I could not use 50# up soon enough and didn't want it to become old. Great price on this!

Good quality semolina flour. Typical domestically grown durum wheat flavor and texture; perfectly adequate for typical pasta making. The seller ensured that I was getting stock from a new batch, and the flour was very fresh and insect-free. The price was good at the time of purchase in mid-2020 (around one dollar and ten cents per pound, shipped).

5 stars for the product. Bag got ripped .To awkward for carriers to handle. Should buy smaller bags.

Excellent semolina ever! With the current pandemic circumstances, I had no choice but to start making homemade bread. Each time I use it my bread comes out terrific!It was delivered in perfect conditions, there was no rips or bugs as this was mentioned in previous reviews. I emailed the seller through Amazon so he would make sure my order would carefully be handled.

I initially thought this was a great buy. I stored the flour properly in airtight plastic food safe containers to preserve freshness. I discovered there were bugs in the flour. Waste of money!!!!

Company was great as one pkg got lost and they quickly issued a refund.I wanted this flour for seminola noodles and bread. It's just a bit coarse groundcompared to others.

This stuff makes AMAZING pasta! And there's so much of it compared to those tiny bags offered by other brands...for a much more cost effective price point. Not only is the pasta great, but it will save me money in the long run from buying boxes of the dried noodles in the stores. And 50 pounds...wow. This will last me all year. :)

Delivery was early and before the expected date. The bag is in good shape (no tears) upon arrival. I would order this again.
