Compact, Comfortable to hold
I was surprised by this little guy. When I ordered it, I wasn't sure how it was going to work. I thought the picture didn't show a handle. But there is not an attached handle. You simply grip both sides in one hand and glide it back and forth over your foot. Dead skin flakes right off. It was pretty amazing for how small this is. Most devices are much bigger than this. I wanted something small for when I travel, that would easily slip into my toiletry kit. This is perfect. It does a fine job with minimal effort and is comfortable to hold. What more could I ask for?

Repair running barefoot/foot peel bootie damage
I have a larger file that works really well for the surfaces of the foot that aren't curved or creased (like at the base of the toes or a high arch). But I couldn't get at those odd places with the large file so I tried this and I really like it. A foot file needs to shear off the skin cleanly without having to make too many passes or you defeat the callous-removing purpose - too much rubbing (or overusing foot peel booties) is what makes the callous in the first place. This file is very small but the little blades are high quality. The size and shape of the file make it perfect for getting at callous on the high arch and behind the toes. This file works best if you use it like the instructions say - after a shower, bath or footbath on newly toweled feet. Then you put on a lotion or oil like Ancient Greek Remedy Foot Balm (available on Amazon).I ruined my feet by using foot peel booties that worked to peel some skin but then the callous came back harder and new callous formed on the soft parts of my feet. So I would do more foot peel booties then got more callous - bad news. My feet constantly felt like I had tight plastic attached to them when I flexed. I could stick a needle quite far into the callous without feeling it or bleeding. The bottoms of my feet felt like the bottom of leather shoes. After a week of using this file and my large Microplane file (available on Amazon) and the foot balm my feet have almost returned to pre-peel mistake.

Did nothing to my toe callus
Bought this for the base of a toe callus due to wearing Birkenstock’s toe bar sandals for years and it didn’t work. Didnt see any skin shavings either after usage and had a dull grate. Not nearly as sharp as the Cala callus remover which is too big for Underneath the toes. Disappointed cause it had a lot of 5 star reviews

So much better than an icky old pumice stone.
Despite what the instructions say, you don't have to take it apart to clean it. The metal part is open on the front and the back - just rinse it thoroughly . Don't push too hard. If you do so on calluses you will damage it, the tool. If you do so on thinner skin you will nick it, the skin. So if you're careful, it's perfect.

Excellent tool, goes dull quickly if you use too much pressure
This is far more comfortable than a file, and does an excellent job when new and sharp. If you push down hard on the tool when using on calluses, this tool will become dull quickly (I think that the cheese-grater-like edges get bent and no longer grate well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Does not do much
It does not remove as much dead skin as the microplane. It is easy to hold.

An effective and simple device, not nearly as fierce as it looks.
While a fierce looking tool, this little device has worked quite well reducing the thickness of callouses on my feet. I regret not having found this earlier. Seki's grooming devices are remarkable. I will be using not only this callus remover, but their nail clippers, files, and other small tools. This callus remover is well worth the price.

Excellent find on Amazon.I will buy more Seki as this company make tefiffic products.
This looks like a carrot shredder but smooths like emery paper. For a obstinate callous on the bottom of my foot this is worth a thousand dollars.Works way better than expected ! Super easy to use.Really ,really like performance.

Not That Effective
This rasp has small circular blades for your calluses, and is not more effective than, let's say, the rough side of a typical foot paddle. This means it requires more strokes to remove callus build up, which in turn irritates the skin, which is the cause of callus build up in the first place. I turned to a metal rasp for a more effective ie fewer stroke, removal of calluses, and so I am returning this. Also, I thought it's small size might help me target and maneuver around the edge of the heel better than some of the larger rasps, but there was no real advantage this way.
