I got this to protect my investment, but seeing as I did not believe a review I read earlier and bought the case anyway I am now stating the same thing as a earlier post. once it stays in place it offers great protection, it wont crack or anything like that(which is what the one I had before did) but the front part that goes over the screen will jump off even in your pocket, just handling the thing makes that part jump off, the back part covers the speaker so the volume needs to be turned up all the way and even at that point depending on what you have on and your environment you will be hard pressed to actually hair your phone ring so vibrate is a must. It does however feel great in ones hand and does not feel slippery but rather gripy, looks nice too, I got the black one, I do find I have to take it off which is not too hard, to put the phone in the case. Two things to improve are the blocking of the speaker and the ease with which the front comes off on its own. The price wasn't bad at all.

I bought this for a work phone. The Blackberry Torch has a bad habit of trying to call emergency numbers in my pocket. Getting this case gave it enough room in my pocket, bag, or hand to not activate the home screen all the time.Also I was very pleased with the durability. It survived more than one good fall in this hard-soft shell combo. ALSO it went in and out of my tight jean pockets easily unlike some other models.One issue, the hard case felt like maybe the mold was a little rough. It took some trying to get it to go on and stay on. Even then the top slide cover would still come off every now and then with regular use.For the price and quality I really can't complain though.

At first I thought I had received a damaged or defective product in the mail; after reading all of the reviews for this I am more frustrated at myself for not reading the reviews first before ordering this product!This is a cool looking case for the BB Torch 9800/9810. It also appears to be pretty durable material. The bottom portion of the case covering the main body of the phone fits well and the "ribbed" design is quite cool / clean looking. The front part of the case (for the front sliding screen) does not fit... AT ALL. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to get this on and I am pretty with phone cases; I have gone through a lot of third-party cases for the BlackBerry - 90% of the time when they break, it is because of this front portion that breaks - I fortunately had a different front cover case which I used along with the black ribbed gel rubber case back cover of this product that matches it nicely. All-in-all, however --- it is not worth the few bucks + shipping for the back half of an otherwise cool looking phone cover!

I put this case on my Torch 9800 and I noticed the front covering fell off easily. After spending a few minutes trying to get the notches inside the front piece of the case to slide into the Torch, I decided to cut them off. After slicing off the notches , the front fits perfectly and hasn't fell off since. Make the modification if the front of the case keeps falling off!

This Is A Great Phone Case, I would say its not For HardHeads or Roughians lol It also says how to place it on your Phone even thought its Not Rocket Science ppl. Its Strong Sturdy & Stable once you Pop it In place. In light Drops it stayed together but for harder falls the Front will Pop off leavin only the Back attached. The Rubber is a Phn save, it allows the Phn to do a Simple Bounce whn dropped & Rids you of that Horrible Noise of your Phn Droppin & havin everyone lookin to see if its mashed up lol

This is a nice little case, doesn't provide much protection IMO, but it does make it a little bulkier therefore not as easily dropped. The top case doesn't stay on very well if you have the keyboard out. bottom fits nice and tight. I am afraid once the tabs (gel) get stretched out from taking it on and off it will not stay on at all. I cannot charge my phone in the pod docking station with this on, therefore it gets taken off every evening.

This cover is not only easy to put on but really protects the phone. My boss' like it so much that he also bought one. The only down fault is the cover for the slide part of the phone sometimes comes off easily.

I recently purchased this case along with the fishbone blue and black 3 piece. Both cases were only 10 bucks with shipping! I haven't even tried the fish bone because the hybrid double layer case is awesome. No problems with the slide or falling off. It still makes your Torch look sweet with protection. The hole for the Blackberry logo sets it off. The best case for $3.00 you will ever find for a 4G torch.
