Great upgrade for My Q ! Those enameled racks deteriorate quickly with high heat, Not These! Stainless is the way to Go!

I like them better than the original ones that came with it grill. Great fit too.

After tiring of rusting grates/grills I looked around for a stainless solution for my weber Q. These work but require a little modification. To start, they are too big for my grill. For the two pieces to meet flat, I had to grind off about 1/8" inch from each of the 4 ends, then smooth them with a file. The next problem was having a single support in the middle of the grill to support two grates. Weber makes a clip set #65634. to place over the single support and distribute the weight more evenly. These Stanbroil grates discolor like any stainless grate, but they are easy to clean. I pop them in the dishwasher after scrubbing with a wire brush. These are way better than any cast iron grates. In the future, a single stainless grate would be ideal. No need for any modifications or clips.

I waited to do this review until I had fully put the stainless grill grate through all my different cooking methods (burgers, whole chicken, sausages, pork chops, cooking with my cast iron skillet, and indirect cooking). I bought it because I was never satisfied with the cast iron grate. I had another Weber Q many years ago which had a chrome-plated steel grate which I preferred, but it's no longer available.Pros: The grill heats up REALLY fast which saves on fuel and time. Easy to clean (it does discolor). It allows the use of my small cast iron skillet because it transfers heat much faster. The grill recovers heat faster after opening the lid and allows it to maintain a hot temperature even with a 15 mph wind. Lighter weight. Solid construction.Cons: Wider grate openings, but it did not cause any problems with burgers.A great buy and highly recommended.

I have a 8-ish year old weber Q100 and i was tired of rusting grates and figured i would give this a try. Product seems well built and fit the Q100 perfectly. Initial test for cooking burgers was a success and cleaned easily. I will update this a few months down the line.

I have a Weber Q1200. I noticed that many of the reviews complained about the size of these grates. If you are careful in obtaining Weber's measurement's as I did and comparing those measurements with the measurements given by the manufacturer, I think you'll be satisfied with the fit of your grate.I have found stainless steel to be much easier to clean than porcelain or cast iron grates that come with this Weber grillThe only reason I didn't rate the grate as a 5 is because the attachments to the bottom of the great as seen in the picture make it a little harder to clean.I would like to know however why those attachments are there in the first place. I suspect it has something to do with distribution of the heat and protection of the gas distribution tubing.All circumstances considered, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

We had to be very careful with the burner level because food burns much more easily, but once we got the hang of it results were satisfactory. The grill slats are stained black and will not clean back to shiny, but they are sound and not flaking. IMHO a better cooking grate for our Weber potable propane grill than the cast iron oem part. And lighter too! Update 1 year later: Impossible to clean and cannot prevent burning of the food. Went back to oem-style grill. OEM grill is way too heavy for a PORTABLE grill, but cooks without burning if burner temp is regulated properly.
