SwissGearSion Softside Expandable Luggage, Dark Grey, Carry-On 21-Inch

After my budget carry on died on a trip to Europe, I decided to save up for something better. I'm sure there are better out there, but you're going to pay a lot more. For my budget, this one is a winner. I was even lucky enough to catch it on sale. I love the color, the quality, the lightness, and the value. Even the budget airlines in Europe let me carry it on, though I did have a "discussion" with RyanAir (Who amongst us hasn't? LOL.) The pockets are well designed, the wheels work great, and the expansion feature is great. I was able to pack EVERYTHING in there with it expanded and then I zipped it back up to compress. I'm looking to buy the big one next. Just hoping for another sale.

Just took it on a trip to Mexico, it has features we didnt even know we needed!- waterproof pouch that snaps in- handle ON THE BOTTOM- plastic feet on the sideAnd all the features we expected- lightweight and strong- holds up in rain (not waterproof, but our stuff managed to stay dry)- wheels felt solid and smooth- good, solid suitcase- the burgundy color makes it easy to spot in the baggage carouselIt's a little spendy, but it's solid. Recommended.-

I bought two of these large suitcases to take on an upcoming trip. They seem to be very nice. The wheels are most important and the wheels on these seem strong and well-placed. They are big enough…I have been able to pack everything I want to take. I love the color. Not a red…forgot what the actual color is but I think it will be easier to spot on the baggage roundabout at the airport. The zippers seem just fine. I like the added pouches on front for last minute items. These seem sturdy, roll beautifully, size is great, color is very nice and the handle works perfectly. They arrived very quickly. We have used our Samsonite for years and alas, a wheel broke on a recent vacation. After many years of use…the pieces were looking well worn. It was time to buy new. I hope we have many years of use out of this luggage.

I love samsonite suitcases, they traditionally wear like steel for us. Purchased this one for my daughter who has now outgrown being able to pack a vacation's worth of clothes in a carry on size. We headed to Disney World from Alaska over Christmas. We purchased the teal color because we wanted to be able to spot it a little easier amongst the sea of black suitcases. We were completely aware that it would likely not arrive at our destination unmarked because of the color and we were right. There were black marks on it when we arrived in Orlando...no big deal.what we were not prepared for was the weave of the suitcase fabric seemed to be a looser weave than what I was expecting. because of this, around 3 of the edges of the suitcase, the fabric started to fray and little fibers of the fabric poked out about 1/2" long along these edges. Ive had other suitcases that the fabric of it has NEVER frayed, even if there were wear spots from rubbing against other suitcases.I'm a little disappointed since we paid $100 for it. I expected it to get dirty, but not have the fabric fray. Not sure if this is just because of the colored fabric.....maybe the black one is a different texture?otherwise, the wheels did great, the handle seems sturdy and handled my 50 lbs i packed like a dream.

Excellent luggage @ a reasonable price. Lightweight with large capacity, with several pockets. The wheels are great! My old luggage only had 2 wheels and the difference in handling is impressive.

Full disclosure: I am a paralyzed traveler. I need a carry-on that is rock solid in terms of functionality and durability. I’ve used this luggage extensively in the six months that I’ve owned it. My limited mobility makes me hard on my luggage. I bought this product to replace a very expensive Hartman carry on. I also a big T. Anthony fan/purchaser. I have high standards. I’m blown away by this item, especially given its v affordable price point. There is a lot of great to say about this luggage:First, it is perfectly designed in that there are two outside pockets that are perfect for carrying a billfold, cell phone, etc. They do not interfere with being able to open the luggage completely or partially in terms of accessing the main storage area. This is quite clever.Second, inside, it is super sturdy with an interior metal frame. The wheels are super solid and roll well with little resistance. Nice touches include a large dedicated pocket for dirty laundry and a separate toiletries pocket. U won’t need to pack a separate dop kit (saving space). The telescoping handle works well. If I had one improvement in the design, it would be to allow this handle to lock before full extension.I lock my luggage when I leave my hotel room. The zippers have holes at the end to facilitate this. I also like that the handle for carrying the luggage horizontally, is exceptionally strong and perfect for my lock so that I may store it under my bed to lock it to the bed frame.Last, I purchased mine in Royal Navy blue. I must say with the Swiss flag in red and white, it is stylish indeed! I very much look forward to packing it and loading it for my next adventure. Also, I am not a paid reviewer or so-called influencer. Just a happy customer.
