Deadliest Catch: Season 7 (5 DVDs Set with Exclusive After The Catch Footage)

My husband does not work much in the summers and one year I got REALLY tired of him sitting around watching "man" shows so I decided to quit complaining and join him. A couple of episodes later I was a HUGE Deadliest Catch fan. By the end of the summer I had already picked my favorites and told him that if anything ever happened to the boys on the Cornelia Marie, I would be heartbroken. Two years later Captain Phil passed away and although I didn't expect it to be from a stroke, I was still heartbroken. The show has never been quite the same. I still love it and watch it with dedication but it isnt the same. If you are a fan you should still watch these episodes but it is hard and heavy to watch the Harris boys and crew fall apart as well as hard to watch new boats and people be introduced. Like losing a family member and having step-parents or step-children added at the same time.

Well it's definitely another dramatic day on the CM, Little boys refusing 30yrs of fishing experience because they got a little disciplined. The whole fleet was turning up blanks more than usual... On the other hand, what is the point of calling the police on a young man that just lost his father.... a father who they just recently (within the past 5 years) got to know and love and rely on completely. Its one thing to help a young person who has a drug problem, but its quite another to call the police and try to have him arrested and give him a record for the rest of his life.... thats no helping hand, thats a punishing hand.... I think they have been punished enough (losing their father and way of life). Living life without the presence of Dad will be in time punishment enough. JMO

I have loved Deadliest Catch, ever since it came on TV. I have followed the lives of all the captains, the crew, and have seen their ups, their downs, and their losses. An Alasken/Bering Sea soap opera, but way way better than the daytime ones because it is real. I could never be out on the Bering Sea with those huge waves, but I love watching the entire series. I reccommend that you have or have seen the previous 6 seasons in order to follow season 7. The entire collection is well worth having.

In this season, we see less of the "older captains" and see more of the new ones; Elliott and Junior --- this is such a disapointment because it is like this season is focusing more on these two new arrivals. Additionally, the captain of Phil's boat is NOT enjoyable to watch; you get the feeling that this guy is trying to completely erase the memory of Captain Phil - not going to happen.

No matter what year you choose, Deadliest Catch is always as exciting and hard hitting as any show can get. I believe it is the most unstaged reality show on television today. Totally unlike all the rest of the phony reality shows. 99% of these shows are fake and staged as you can get. And a lot of people are falling for these B.S. shows. There is a script for almost all of these bad jokes.

I LOVE THE SHOW, BUT AMAZON'S CLOSED CAPTIONING ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. I USE CC SO I CAN KEEP THE VOLUME AT A MINIMUM, BUT THE 5-10 SECOND DELAY BETWEEN THE AUDIO AND THE CC IS TERRIBLE. IF HULU CAN CC WELL FOR $8.00/MONTH, I OUGHT TO BE ABLE TO GET GOOD CC FROM AMAZON FOR $30.00.

Once again the guys take to the bearing sea and overcome everything that mother nature has to offer them, from freezing spray to hurricanes, calm tranquil seas to 30 foot monsters. The bounty at the end of the crab season for some is well worth the torment they put themselves through but for some......well......its bit of a fatter pay cheque than they would have earned on land. The unbelievable bravery that these guys show is second to none and for those greenhorns aspiring to be crabbers, who want to show how hard they are and that it doesn't look all that bad on tv......you'll just have to watch and see how they get on. If you thought that series one was good and series two was better and three was even better then series seven will just blow your mind, it just keeps on getting better, even the camera crew get involved. A must buy for any fan of the series so far and for the outsider i recommend getting the full box set. Absolutely fantastic series...again!!! 11/10

This Series of Deadliest Catch proved to me once and for all, you cannot appear at the side of a Fishing Trawler and simply look for a job - You are born to be a Fisherman. The Mountainous Bearing Sea combined with the dangers on board from the equipment itself, and occasionally other crew members are only some of the risks men face in order to 'chase the dollar'. I really enjoyed following the exploits of each of the crews, their successes and more often than not, the disappointments of empty baskets coming up from the deep. It was happiness, sadness, and downright despair which makes this a great series to have. I am now going in search of all the others which I have missed, Thankyou

Deadliest Catch Series 7[DVD ]A fantastic series. I really enjoy this series as my Dad as once a lobster trawlerman off the north west coast of the Hebrides and I can imagine what trials and tribulations he must have come across. These true-to-life fishermen should be awarded medals for the hard work and dangers they face every day they trawl. Highly recommended to those who are couch potatoes. Deadliest Catch Series 7[DVD

i got deadliest catch season 7 for xmas it was great would recommend it to any deadliest catch fan out there well worth the money. but im sorry to say i had one problem with it the first 4 disc's where find but the 5th disc was faulty which was up setting as i couldnt watch it because it just kept freezing. but amazon uk came through for me i emailed them about the problem with in about a hour and a half i got a reply back saying they where dispatching a replacement cant complain about there service recommend amazon to anyone they looked after me ok thanks amazon i will be ordering from you again in the future

Brave souls who venture forth. Have watched three DVDs and felt wet, cold and sorry for the characters. Personally, my small boat in the middle of the Bay of Biscay was a "walk in the park" compared to these seas.
