If your on the fence, I’d say DO IT!
I’m a side sleeper and this pad made a huge difference for me. I’ve never been so comfortable camping in my life. I had this pad, a double wide 10 foot hammock, an under quilt, a 0C bag with a liner, a rain fly, a camping pillow and a hot water bottle. It was snowing out at was about 20 F outside, and I was almost as comfortable as in my own bed. The pad kept the hammock spread open even when I was in it which made getting settled into my bag way easier. Between the pad and under-quilt I had zero thermal loss beneath me. I feel like I could have gone colder and been comfortable. While I bought the pad to stay warm during winter camping, In the summers I plan to bring the pad for the sheer comfort I experienced. This pad will be going with me in EVERY trip in the future. It’s the most expensive item I have in my pack, and it’s worth the extra weight and cost!I’m a 5”2 woman who weighs about 135 pounds. The pad vertically can accommodate a much bigger person. My partner who is 5”10 commented on the generous size and is super. If your small like me that’s a huge plus because it makes a hammock feel roomy and warm at the same time.

Awesome pad for your hammock!!!
Well first of all I Gotta say good job Klynit! So I’ve taken this hammock pad out a few times now it was put to the test this weekend passed in the mountains in Oregon.I didnt use a top or under quilt just this pad and my Kelty cosmic down bag.The temperatures dipped to about 25° and from what I was told all they could hear was me snoring in my hammock. The thermal retention on this pad is outstanding the and the inside wings do exactly as they were supposed to and both kept me warm and prevented my body arms and legs from coming in contact with the side of the hammock.I use a onewind double wide hammock and tarp and the fit of this to the hammock kept me in like a little cocoon all night. The length is great for me as I’m 5,11” and weigh 185 lbs and I was totally covered head to toe abd side to side with some to spare. The only cons that I saw or noticed was the weight and possibly packing it up on the trail might be slightly more different but I was able to accomplish it just fine.I would suggest using you hammock tarp and laying it down on the ground to roll it back it up. ( The only reason I mention that is somebody’s review Mentioned this issue thiugh it might be more difficult I was able to get it back in its original stuff sucks rolled up and got on my way without issue)And the second possible con Would be the weight , But I tend to pack fairly light as it is so a few more ounces on my comfort items it is well worth it.Also something worth noting is that this pad has spots on the front and the back of the pad made of some kind of rubbery material that prevent it from sliding around in your Hamic or your bag sliding around on the pad which is great as I am a side sleeper her and I tend to roll around all this and I slept great the pad did not move it stayed in positioned and held air perfectly.
