ASOASO Ankle Stabilizing Orthosis w/inserts (Small - Black)

I broke my ankle and the therapist recommended this style of brace for strong support. This did it for an affordable price.

Works great as substitute brace in my rubber boot instead of my leg brace which is not flexible enough to fit in my knee high boot.

I really do love this brace but I gave it 4 stars because of the inserts. This brace fits inside both, my sneakers and hiking boots with orthotics in both as well. The inserts are almost useless though, I've never seen such flimsy stabilizers before. BUT if you're at all crafty there is an easy fix, all you need is a sturdy pair of scissors or some type of heavy craft shears and a piece of hard plastic. Take the inserts out of the brace, trace them onto the plastic and cut them out (it doesn't need to be very thick plastic but you don't want it too thin either). File/sand the edges a little so there's nothing sharp to catch on the fabric, put the original inserts back in the brace then slide the plastic behind the inserts and that's it. My issue is different than 99% of people needing an ankle brace which is why I need stiffer support, most people need it to prevent an injury or post injury. I have neuropathy in my foot so I have very little feeling and control of it. I have no control of the arch so when I put full weight on my foot the arch collapses and flattens out causing the ankle to roll inward. I wear orthotics to help the arch and the brace to help with the ankle roll. The minor addition/improvement I made brings this to a 5 star brace and I love it. Definitely worth the money for me and I would recommend it.

I couldn’t wear it withmy shoes, it was cumbersomeand didn’t really help. Don’t waste your money

I use my ankle brace during my daily aerobic workouts and trust it completely. I am a Zumba instructor and must pivot and turn in my dance routines. When I severely sprained my ankle for the second time in less than 6 months, I thought I would be out of commission for months. This brace really gives me the confidence to conduct my workouts without worrying if my ankle will give out. The plastic stays on the sides are essential - don't get any other brace without the stays!

Brace is not as described or pictures. Didn't have a place for stays and didn't come with stays.

I tore my ligaments playing soccer and got the brace for some extra support once I was ready to start playing again. The brace is excellent. I provides me with the stability and security I need when I am on the pitch, running back and forth and cutting form left to right and vice versa. I can only highly recommend to get this brace if you sustained an ankle injury and want some extra stability while building back the original strength of the leg.
