It's lightweight and very spacious. It takes a moment to figure out the opening but once you find it, you're in business. Highly suggest that you get a second person to help pitching it, especially if there is some wind... Any wind at all. But it's very spacious and the wind has no effect on it once it's up. The mesh windows let's the air pass right thru as if it's not there. Takedown is as easy at pulling the steaks up (if you used them), taking the rods out of the pins (in the 4 corners of the tent) and then disassembling the rods, roll it all up and shove it in the bag and good to go. 👍 Great purchase for sunny events.

I purchased this shade tent because I take my dog to sporting events and needed shade from the hot Southern California sun. I used to use one of those pop up tents for the beach, but if you put a chair in those tents it gets pretty crowded, so when I saw this on sale for prime day I decided to try it out. After the initial set up, I can say I’m pretty happy with it so far. It can definitely fit up three to four adults comfortably side by side in chairs with plenty of headspace still. It provided nice protection from the sun and it definitely felt a bit cooler. Although, I wish the mesh windows were higher up so you can feel the breeze a bit more. It seems pretty study with the stakes in the ground/dirt, but I when I tested it, it wasn’t a windy day so I’ll have to see if it holds in wind. I also like that it’s pretty lightweight and compact compared to my beach shade tent. I did get some help setting it up since the instructions weren’t helpful, but I feel like setting it up by myself is doable. Since I only just received it, I gave it four stars for now and will try to remember and edit it once I test it out on the wind to see if it’ll hold up. As I mentioned earlier, the instructions suck and like everyone other review stated, they do not help at all. It was easier to look at the photos on Amazon and figure it out. See below for my suggested instructions. Assemble/put together the poles first. There are two “slots” one along the top opening and one further behind it and parallel to the top slot. These slots are for the long poles. Slide one of the long connected poles into each slot. Do not be tempted like me and put the little black plastic tent clamps on to hold it in place. Instead, pick one side first (left side or right side) and make sure the two separate poles cross and form an “X” so that the bottom of the pole in the back now is the front pole and the bottom of the front pole now is in back. If you look at the X it should sort of mirror the X formed by the tent where the material and mesh cross. At the bottom (where material meets the ground) of each corner of the tent is a metal circle ring and a little “mini stake” with a circle, put the little stake into the middle/bottom of the long pole and do the same with the other pole. That will hold the tent in place. When one side is done, do the other side. Now you can put the black plastic clamps on. Finally, stake the tent into the ground to hold it in place if necessary.

We had such a hard time with assembly. It did not help that it was super windy. We found it hard to keep the rods connected. The quality of the fabric was good however it just didn't hold well on our beach trip.I wish I wasn't too lazy to send back for a refund.

This beach tent works great as an enclosure for my hot tub. I just tried it out for the first time and it was very relaxing and much more private. We have a two-story house behind us and we just feel like we’re always being observed. So Even though this was not at all an easily assembly, it was worth it. I managed to put it together by myself while my kids watched.

I have a tent just like this was buying another since mine was wearing out. I bought it used ! But said in good condition. Tent might have been -never took it from its bag. Tent poles were banging around the box delivered. But ok so they could get back in bag no problem. Oh wait the poles were no longer bunny corded together what the heck. It is not Good condition that is broken !!! Will not buy from this seller again. The ratings I gave were for the one I have. It is easy to put up and is light weight and wonderful for the beach. I have had mine for 6 years

I love this little canopy! Bought it to protect the littles from the Sun. It was perfect once we had it set up. I wish I would have done a trial run at home first so that I had an idea how it worked before I was on a windy beach trying it for the first time. But next time will be a cinch! I love this design because there’s no floor and the kids could still play in the sand even while fully sitting in the shade. We had 2 kids playing and 2 adults under it and we were not cramped for space. 5 STARS!

Giving it 2 stars because it’s more like a “semi” permanent structure that is NOT easy to set up or disassemble. It’s definitely not practical

I always love these sunshades and get one about every other swim season. Set up is easy, once you figure it out. Make sure the strap is in the front and the clips are on top of the sunshade when setting it up. Once you have all four corners staked down, the rest of the setup is a breeze.
