Excellent Guitar - Perfect for what I was looking for
Real nice guitar. I went to my local music store and tried many different guitars, they didn't have this model in stock, but had similar models made with HPL. Even with the HPL, these Martins sounded great - I just wanted all wood, and because this one comes with a case it seemed to be the best value. I purchased this guitar with specific intention to play finger style - it does not disappoint. The neck was what sold me on this model, perfect for my hands. I do recommend trying before buying, because I originally wanted a Taylor - while I really like how all the Taylors sound, the necks on the models I tried weren't as comfortable to me as this one.Played excellent out of the box, maybe intonation slightly off on the low E string, but took it to my tech and put Thomastik-Infeld AC111 Acoustic Guitar Strings and wow...I could want nothing more after this set up!

This a low end Martin and not what you'd really expect. You have to spend a lot more for that.

Beautiful sound and great body size!
Sounds beautiful, as you would expect froma Martin. I love the Grand Performance design, it sits well while sitting which is great when recording. I love the neck, it has a slimmer profile and is easy to play. Similar to the Taylor Grand Auditorium but just as good for a fraction of the price. Great tonal balance and good projection. For the price you can’t beat the sound of this guitar, I highly recommend this because of versatility and overall great balanced sound.
