Sluggo really works
This product really works and it is safe for my 5 pound dog. It is easy to use. I buy the large sack because it is a better value.i usually mix it with my soil conditioner and compost before I spread in my flower beds. Then I sprinkler extra around my rock borders, hosts, and wood ferns

WONDERFUL if you have slugs/moles
For a couple of years, I had a bad mole problem so when I discovered this product, decided to give it a go - figured, get rid of the food source of the moles. I would say after the first application, with me overseeding in the destroyed area of my lawn with fertilizer, the mole activity dropped significantly and my grass started to grow in again. In two weeks I dropped some more Sluggo right before a rain and that did the trick - the moles are gone. Important to note that Sluggo will actually protect new seed and will break down into a fertilizer because it's organic. That part of my lawn seriously has never looked better! I could hardly keep up with the new lawn growth! I have started to see mole activity again a couple of months later so will start dropping it again. Instructions say to use it no more than twice a month and to keep at it. I would say, depending on the mole issue to drop it until you can say they are gone - they may come back so keep Sluggo on hand!

Works on slugs but birds and rodents feed on it
I have used Sluggo for 20 years. Always my go-to to keep slugs from destroying plants. However, last summer I realized it was disappearing quickly from the garden and found birds were feeding on it. Caught a mouse in the container this week having lunch on it. Only thing I can figure is the product has been reformulated and now is providing sustenance to other animals, maybe they get needed salt from it. Have switched to Safer Brand Slug Bait.

Snails were destroying my garden - now they are gone
I live in the PNW, slug central. It rains here all the time and the climate is built for them. I also have a pond, with beautiful, gigantic, fat, lily style foliage surrounding it. They were eating everything though. it was so bad, that when we would turn leaves over - we could find 20 easily in a matter of minutes. I didnt like the idea of any sort of pesticides because we have dogs and I have targeted my garden to wildlife (birds etc). I read the reviews on sluggo and saw it was animal safe, so I decided to try it. It began working instantly. I had to cut all of the previously damaged leaves out and as soon as I applied sluggo all over the garden, I stopped seeing any new damage when new growth came in. I have a large yard and i can tell when I need to re-apply. I wont see damage for a couple months and then all of the sudden, a few holes here and there because they are back, so I do a big re-application. Birds do eat it, which is irritating. it doesnt seem to hurt them, but if you have a large yard - I actually moved my bird feeder to a different location, so birds wouldnt hit the parts of the yard that I want the Sluggo to remain in. So this stuff totally works, but.. the snails will eat it, and the birds will eat it - so you have to re-apply through the season. I went through 2 bottles in my back yard this year. Totally worth it though. my plants look great. I will continue to use. i just sprinkle it all over the plant.. on top of leaves and a lot around the base. in my beds - I sprinkle it throughout. I'm in Seattle, it rains a lot.. doesnt seem to affect the pellets ability to do it's thing.

Snail-less
OMG, I can't tell you how well this stuff works!! I bought it because every day on my patio I would find tiny snails stuck to the walls. There were probably fewer than 5 each day. But we were baffled because none of our neighbors had them at all! Then one day I noticed a few on the outside wall of my flower pots, and it darned on us that ours was the only patio with foliage. I Googled something like "snails on home" and found they were, indeed, attracted to our plants. In my research I also found and bought Sluggo, but it just sat on my counter for about a week because the number was so small, and mostly all you would see was the tiny shells. That was until the following week, I came out of my house to find an uncountable number on the walls of the patio. It looked like a horror movie ("Attack of the Killer Snails"). I shouted to my (very squeamish) sister to come and help get rid of them. She came out armed with a broom. Let me tell you, these snails weren't the tiny shells we'd seen before. They were at least 1 1/2 inches long, and they weren't shy about coming out of their shells, so you saw these big shells, with the full snail body sticking out, antennas and all!! Then I noticed that there were about 15 curled up in each of my flower pots--looking like a bowl of snail cereal!! They were all over the walls, but when I walked out to the sidewalk, and then faced the patio, there were at least 10 big fat juicy ones all stuck to a single column! Yikes!! My sister and I were freaking out--I'm getting the willies just writing this review. I ran into the house to get Sluggo and began to shake it on all of the bushes and grass surrounding the house, on the edges of the patio floor, and then directly in each flower pot. The next morning, miraculously, besides a few curled up shells on the patio floor, they were gone! It's been about 2 weeks since the nightmare and even the tiny shells are all gone, and we haven't seen even 1 ever since. Thank you Sluggo!
