Streets of Rage 4 - Nintendo Switch

This game is the best Streets of Rage game yet, and also one of the best side-scrolling beat-em-up fighting games I have ever played. The detail in graphics is fantastic, with loads of special effects and interaction in every stage. After playing for awhile you eventually get each main character from the first 3 SofR games in their original 16-bit graphic style. The music can be played in the new remastered version or in the original retro style. Hear tunes from all the first 3 games plus some new ones. When I first played I tried it on 'mania' mode. After trying that the 'easy' & 'normal' modes seemed almost too easy. I have a feeling it may be a while before a SofR 5 - it will be hard to improve on this one, IMO.

Street of Rage 4 really is a upgrade improvement to the original 2 & 3. I notice that there has been some complain in review that it is not like the ps4 or xbox, but I going to say I have not notice any difference. during the few hours of playing it, there has been no lag, or skip frames,etc. the game runs smooth, and its better for on the go. the design on the character is a much needed improvement. Sorry but I think pixel games should stay in the past. over all the game is excellent and hopping for a part 5.

Great graphics and adventure. It reminded me a lot of my time at the arcade when the games were incredible.

I've played SoR4 on PS4 previously, and this port of the game holds up. The game overall is a blast from the past, and the included mini artbook is neat, however, I didn't get the keyring that was supposed to come with the game. This is the only reason it didn't get 5-stars from me.

I've been playing the original SOR and SOR 2 off and on since I bought them new a long time ago. Love their soundtracks, and have gotten my kids to enjoy them as well. The nostalgia is strong with this line.SOR 4 is a great addition. Soundtrack is fantastic, seemingly has a lot of cutting edge songs and tries new things, just like it's predecessors. And the game is fun, love the broad selection of characters, love the levels, plenty of Easter eggs. Will be paying this one for many years to come.

Love this game I have both the digital and now physical copy tons of replay value of course as it is a beat em up game dont hesitate to get it I know that everybody at this point has the digital version but with the replay value this game has it's worth owning both still waiting on a teenage mutant ninja turtles port to the switch to complete my collection of the beat em games I have every single fighting game available on the switch at this moment fingers crossed that we get the following games sooner then later..1. Teenage mutant ninja turtles2. Soul calibur3. Tekken 74. Street fighter ps4 port

To no surprise, this game is a homage to the first three classic beat'em ups with a modern animation. If you liked Double Dragon Neon, you'll love this game too!

There's no other current beat 'em up that can compare, this game satisfies both old and new school fans. Proof? 10 yr nephew, 40 yr brothers and me 30. All had a great time local co op.My only only only complaint is the same as everyone's, no 4 player online. only 2 player online. Dotemu is a small company, and I'm sure the budget wasn't able to fit the bandwidth on their servers at the moment.10/10, would buy again for a friend.
