Just add hot water, milk, & butter and you have instant organic mashed potatoes. I love this brand.

Absolutely delicious! I will buy these again and again. I don't follow the instructions exactly. I put all the wet ingredients in a bowl and microwave it for 4 minutes. Then I dumped the potato flakes in the heated liquid and they are perfect every time.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was supposed to receive a pack of 6, but I only got 5. I hope that was an honest mistake and it doesn't happen again. I will be ordering more since I like them, and they are organic. Potatoes are on the "dirty dozen" so organic is important.

Very good. I didn't even to to add salt or pepper. I love that they are organic without all the bad ingredients. I am happy with my purchase. I did use all milk though. I never use water.

Unfortunately I didn't scrutinize the box in the picture. After throwing my lovely pot of mashed potatoes for dinner away, I looked carefully and there, above "Homestyle" (which to me means salt, pepper at the most) there are tiny drawings of a red onion, and salt & pepper shakers. Didn't even see them. And I didn't read the ingredients because I assumed (uh-oh) that Homestyle meant homestyle, not "gourmet." (Onion is listed... sigh...) Never in my 70+ years have I added, nor wanted to add, onions to my mashed potatoes. (I have had garlic mashed potatoes a couple times at friends and in restaurants but never was offered onion mashed potatoes. Ever.)Mashed potatoes are the clean and humble base to showcase the main part of a meal - fried chicken, roast, gravy, shepherd's pie, pork loin, chops or even veggies, etc. But they add a benign flavor and creamy mouth feel that supports the star of the meal.Onion is a bold, competitive taste and smell. I made one package, couldn't eat it, gave the other 5 away to the food pantry. The premise is excellent: organic potatoes, a good company (love their canned organic mushrooms), quick and easy to make on a stovetop, & good consistency. Unfortunately, for me the flavor was plain awful. Recommendation? Call them "Homestyle with Onion" and then please make one just plain "Homestyle."

I was not thrilled with this, I'm not used to the seasoning. I made it with my Shepherd's Pie, was not my finest by far.

All were surprised how much they licked these potatoes and that they are organic!

Not sure why there are reviews bemoaning these organic instant mashed potatoes. In my palate's tasting, these are the best instant potatoes out there. Perfectly seasoned in an appropriately sized packaged portion. Is there onion in it? So says the ingredient list as organic onion power. But I sure can't taste it as others have stated.It is so quick and easy to prepare as well. What I do is this .... put a half cup of whole milk in a bowl first, then about 2 tablespoons, about a 1 inch square, of butter in the bowl with the milk. Then place the bowl on the coffee maker and run it on the 12 ounce hot water only setting, then finish it off with hot water only from the 6 ounce setting ~ this starts to melt the butter as well. Then pour in the potatoes while stirring. And then voila, the perfect bowl of mashed potatoes all at great temperature immediately eatable. And, I might throw in another pat of butter, or two, if I want a more rich tasting mashed potatoes.I eat the whole bowl of these mashed potatoes while watching TV, as someone would eat a bowl of ice cream. These are great on a cold night evening while watching TV when one gets a hankering for eating something. You really can't go wrong with this organic brand. And as an added plus? The butter in the mashed potatoes will satiate you as well so you won't become hungry later in the evening.
