Delicious nougat like- giftable indeed
I thought they would have liquid bourbon in them but it was more like a decadent mint nougat. Delicious indeed. They are expensive but they are woodford reserve so I guess you pay for the name. Totally gift worthy.

No "mint," no 'julep" & def no "bourbon"! :((
I had looked forward for several days (not on the 2-day shipping) to these chocolates. Dark chocolate? check! "Mint julep" taste? NOT EVEN A SMIDGE!!! I make fresh mint juleps all the time and while I didn't expect anything fresh, due to the necessity for preservatives, etc. I thought there would be SOME sort of "mint julep" taste, but there was NONE! NADA! ZILCH! And the "bourbon" flavor?? DID NOT EXIST!!! Do you want to know what these taste like? I tried one and spit it out! Did not even taste as good as "After Eight" which are simple mint chocolates! This was either a very pathetic recipe or a deliberate swindle. I'm thinking the latter, since when I tried to return: "item not returnable" was all I got. Thank God for Amazon Customer Service!!! THEY get 5-stars! JC in Customer Service immediately put in an order to credit my account in full. btw, I've had Woodford Reserve bourbon and it's A+....so why they can't put that flavor and grind up a few mint leaves to "seal the deal" is beyond me! EPIC FAIL!!! :(((

Exactly what I was looking for
I bought these as a Kentucky Derby gift for some friends we went to the derby with. These mint julep bourbon balls were a hit with all guests and we were proud to be the one who brought them! I highly recommend these to any mint julep and chocolate lover, and what better occasion than as a KY Derby gift?!

Wonderful taste and great party hit as being a bit different than standard chocolates. A little pricey.

Best Chocolate aperitif in your mouth!
These chocolates/mint julep should be on everyone's "kick the bucket" list. The only thing better would be eating them at the Kentucky derby.
