Very good product so far. Good quality
Just received the product yesterday and I have no complains about it. Quality appears to be good to me. Sensor cooking was working just perfect this morning, preparing a bowl of oatmeal. The microwave stopped automatically in the very right moment. I also tried to defrost a 2.14lbs ground meat and it was a little bit tricky but nothing different than every other microwave, you just need to flip it occasionally. Surface of ground meat got quicker hot than inside but at the end after 20min the ground meat was ready for cooking.Display was okay, I haven't tested during daylight if too dim, as stated in other reviews. Also when door open the light inside of the microwave stays on, compared to other models from what I have read in other reviews.Minute rotating button very nice and smooth. Quick minute button available, I love this function (one of the reasons I got the product).Overall so happy for now that I cannot explain it. Makes a very solid impression. Let's just wait and see if this first impression of quality and functionality will be justified over time.UPDATE September 5, 2018:The microwave died probably two years ago. Very sad.

NN-SD762S 1.6 cuft - Very Nice with Update Features
I have owned a previous model of this microwave (NN-S952/S752/S742) purchased about six years ago, until it finally hummed and dimmed lights for the past year, and finally smelled the transformer burning the other day. That one traveled five states, through desert heat and the cold of the arctic, and only recently just apparently gave out. A distant ancestor of the newer NN-H765BF, which is a cousin of this model. On my older model, I would alway use the defrost button for reheating food, whether frozen or thawed. I found I had better results with the slower cooking method, and the heat was more well evenly dispersed. Using the defrost button also prevents over-cooking! Likely I will not change my methods, but I'll try to use the Sensor Reheat & Sensor Cook features and report my results here when I have time.Another button I would always use on my older model was the Beverage button (for reheating or heating any drinks or water), for which is no longer available on this newer model. I guess I'll have to learn to use Sensor Cook or Power level buttons.PROS:1) Heats food very fast!2) Buttons are easy to push.3) Dial, makes specifying times easier versus having to push buttons.4) Door closes & opens easily.5) Glass tray is elevated, and apparently easier to center and mount on the rotating pedestal.CONS:1) Display is dim when viewed from an angle, especially when viewing from an angle greater than 45 degrees. (I have to place my microwave high atop a refrigerator.) Not at all a deterrent when buying, unless I suspect the buyer has problems with eye sight. I dislike the models having the brighter LED blue lights, as they tend to then be too bright.2) No more button for Beverages. So must learn to push Sensor Cook and dial #4 for reheating soup. Or P7/P10 for Power level 7/10 to warm or boil respectively, and dial time for one to three minutes. (ie. See Owners Manual for Quick Cooking Charts!)3) Some of the buttons could be programmed for more intuitive use. For example, instead of pressing the Time button twice to the time, also allow pressing and holding the Time button to set time. A lot of hardware require either or, but would be quite trivial to also have the button to use either or methods which would make programming easier on the user. (I haven't used the microwave long enough to further comment.)4) The microwave circular tray does not center at the door opening when the microwave stops. I usually find the object I place on the tray toward the sides or rear upon stopping. My earlier model of this microwave, upon stopping would have the item near and center of the door opening upon stopping. (Or at least from what I recall.)5) The dial might be a little tedious, and a better solution concerning the "hard to push" plastic buttons might be buying one of these models featuring the sturdier metal buttons. (ie. Mechanical buttons are known to work much easier and better, then plastic buttons.)

The first one lasted a couple years before the you ...
The first one lasted a couple years before the you could no longer open the door. I bought the same one again because it's a built in and hard to find anything else that fits the space. The second microwave worked a little over a year before the door latch quit working. I've purchased a third microwave because of the exact measurement requirements for the space. I purchased the 2 year warranty assuming it will break again. I already know it's going to be a hassle to have it fixed. It's despicable the company doesn't fix this problem that so many customers have complained about in the past and will complain about in the future. Heed my warning....do not buy this one if you have a choice. Moving forward, I'm going to start shopping now to find an alternative before my 3rd one breaks, because I know it will...

Didn't last a year
This product worked initially fairly well but then the door would not close unless it was slammed. Even then it had to be reset many times and finally worked. Now, just over the 1 year mark, the microwave will NOT turn on at all. The door will not reset and the light stays on. Very disappointed that it would not even last a year. But I guess that is to be expected since it was made in China and it is part of our disposable world.

Good microwave but the LED display isn't quite right
Nice looking microwave, pretty easy to use and works well. The only issue I have has been mentioned by others... the LED display segments are unevenly lit. It looks like the voltage to the display isn't sufficient. It can be read when looking from above or straight on, but don't put this up high where the display is even slightly above eye level, it will look completely blank... like it is off.I emailed Panasonic about it and got this response:The display of the microwave oven is digital and made of LED. There is no programmable setting on the unit to adjust the LED, but instead we recommend placing the microwave oven to an area where there is proper lighting. Also, to get an accurate view of the display, we suggest that you look at it on an eye level when programming.Seems like they know about the issue but don't want to address the design/engineering flaw. Disappointing.
