I think depending on the length of needles you use it can be. When I had it done at a spa the 1st time. I didn't use numbing cream and it was bearable. They only used .30mm needle length. The 2nd time I went up to .5mm and I had to have the cream. especially on the forehead, check bones, under eye, nose and jaw line. The areas where you can feel bone, those are the most intense. I bought a numbing cream on amazon. I leave it on for 20 minutes. The needle length I'm at now is 1mm for collagen induction. I still feel but it's not intense. If you've ever had a tattoo? that's what I would equate the pain to, especially if you've had one in a sensitive area, but the results are totally worth it!! I'me 49 and my daughter told me the other day that I look like I'm aging backwards and that I've taken 10yrs off my face...

Whats the difference between a6s, hydra pen, m8, x5, a6 and a7 i cant decide which to get. also how often do you replace the needles?
