(I have to put 4 stars, or my review will not appear.) Not useful for small spaces.
I am painting my small bathroom. I really dislike painting. I was hoping this sprayer would make things go fast. I thinned the paint to almost half water. I was planning on doing two coats. I began to spray. I made it over one wall and part of another wall and the cup was empty. I immediately refilled the cup with same mix....sprayer is clogged. I cleaned the tip...nothing. Unless you have a lot of space, like a workshop where you can constantly flush the tubes and the whole system, this really won't work. I don't have anywhere I can make a big mess to clean the thing after every pass/cupfull. After one pass, I'm tossing it and going back to roller and brush. Please learn from my expensive lesson.

Works well for thin(ed) paint
I got this as a refurb and it was dirt cheap. But everything worked, and even though it has a tendency to spit paint in ugly droplets if the pain is too thick, it does a pretty good job. I painted 6 doors in my back yard and found this to be sufficient to control the fan shape and rate of flow. It REALLY needs super-thinned paint to work, but cleans pretty easily and gave me no troubles. This is a pretty good value for the money and while it will not replace a good HVLP sprayer, it also requires very little skill or effort to get it working!

Careful if using extension cord
Was going to give this sprayer 1 star but with logic and patience, I called the customer support line. Painting outside, naturally you’d need an extension cord. I was painting a table with chalky paint. I would spray one side in one streak and and then stop. When I’d go to start the next streak, it wouldn’t turn on; id have to let it sit a minute or 2 for it to work again. I thought the paint was too thick so I slightly watered it. But now the sprayer wasn’t working at all! Every curse word was flying out of my mouth. Read the manual: useless. Troubleshooting section: no help. Called the support line and the first thing she said was the extension cord. Plugged the unit into the wall and BOOM back in business. Switched out to a different extension cord because I simply couldn’t work without one since the unit has such a short cord and no issues! Watering down the paint did help as well. Table is coming out beautifully.

Only if you want a hammered finish does it work good
Got this so that I could spray trim and a front door, instead of using a roller or brush to prevent leaving a texture or brush strokes. Well it leaves a texture alright, a hammered finish. I was super mad. The first project I tried using it on was my front door and I used exterior paint that didn't require thinning, I filled up the gun and practiced on some cardboard and seemed a little splattery but seemed to level out fine when I was laying down on the ground and not a vertical surface. I started spraying the door and leaves like a mentioned a hammered finish, not smooth at all. I tried the volume adjustment by the trigger and it changed the product volume coming out but didn't change the splattering coming out of the gun. I took a qtip with water on it and cleaned off the tip and the hole where the air comes out thinking maybe something was it there blocking it, took it apart and nothing. Tried 2 times to thin it more and more with water thinking that it was too thick of paint, and nope that didnt gelp either. We'll i was dedicated then to continue painting the door, so I had to finish it anyways and still has a hammered finish and it's gonna have to stay cause I'm not sanding it all off now. But now I have a worthless gun that I will never use again because of the quality of the spray pattern. And because I waited too long to use it on a project, It's too late to return it now.. Grrrr

Worked well, but kept shutting off
I used this machine for the first time to paint 10 wood shutters. It worked really well but for some reason the sprayer would randomly shut down. Almost like it was suddenly unplugged. Each time only lasted a few moments but I am concerned that the motor is bad. I waited well past the return date to use it so I guess I’m stuck. I’m just hoping it’s a built in feature to keep the machine from overheating, though I don’t think that’s what it is.

Great Value for the cost!
The media could not be loaded. Love this sprayer! I have started refinishing furniture and this made the job so much more fast, easier, and the spraying looks amazing! As opposed to the hard work painting with a brush is. Very easy to use and clean up. But if you don’t clean it properly, old paint will clog up the hose

Quick Finish Yes, Fine Finish No
Although easy to use, I am disappointed in the spray pattern & over spray. Also disappointed I purchased this model...I guess you get what you pay for. Cannot update the tips so you should just get use to the excessive splattering and poor spray coverage. I Do Not recommend this model...it is just a waste of money.

Easy and Great Results
I purchased this product to paint a dozen new and existing doors as part of a renovation project. For both existing doors (bad spots sanded, but generally in good condition w/existing paint) and new solid wood and mdf hollow doors, I used two coats of water-thinned Latex paint - very thin application each time. The doors have a decent amount of trim finish - not simple, flat surfaces. The result was amazing - the finish looks like a factory job - absolutely perfect. I've used several paint sprayers over the years for wall, door, fence projects - I have to say this was the best experience I have had w/ a sprayer.Be sure to follow the cleaning instructions -- once done painting, you have to fill the container with water and spray-out the residual paint. The nozzle is a simple water flush w/ a scrubbie or toothbrush. Hope this helps.
