Great looking seat- I’m using it in my apartment entry hall as a seat to put on my shoes. Zero damage and box was protected with corner reinforcements all around. Mine came in deep brown leather as in original Amazon sales photos not deep red as another reviewer mentioned. The leather padded top is stylish and comfortable, with nice stitching. I am not an expert but the leather might be some kind of bonded leather and not full grain, all sewn areas are stitched in to not expose a place where one could see the edge, the leather or pleather is soft and supple and has a super realistic feel and grain if it isn’t full grain - suits me fine, I squeezed a corner seam and gave it a smell to see if that identified it- got neither a plastic smell or a distinct leather smell- not much smell at all- so that was inconclusive too . The steel x frame base supports my 250 lbs fine without a hint of wobble or sag when I sit down quickly with full weight.

This Ottoman has all the characteristics of PU leather or Pleather. It came with a tag stating it is Genuine leather as I had ordered, but I seriously doubt it is leather as stated prior.

This foot stool is everything that I could ask for. It looks great in my living room it is the perfect heightfor resting my feet while watching tv or reading. Love it.The fact that there was nothing to put togetheris another plus.
