lots of crazy antics
When famous baker Koko Dodo’s super-secret fudge sauce goes missing before the Queen’s Royal Cookie Contest, he calls Didi Dodo future spy to solve the mystery. Didi Dodo is a lively character. This is her first assignment, and she springs into action with a daring plan wearing roller skates. In this fictional chapter book by bestselling author Tom Angleberger, there are lots of crazy antics and funny and interesting characters to make you laugh. My favorite part of the book was learning about Cousin Yuk Yuk’s pickled rhubarb relish farm. The way his voice is captured on paper creates a lot of great imagery. The book also includes some fun and fitting illustrations. They capture a lot of motion and harrowing moments and draw you into the story. I also liked how the illustrator included comic strips and recipes at points. I recommend this book for kids four to ten years old and even older kids who want a good laugh. I will happily read it again!Reviewed by Cyril L., 9, Metropolitan Washington Mensa
