The best HP printer I have puchased. But as usual, ink is costly.
No problems so far. Very good info and control from PC.Really good at printing both sides of paper for long documents.Picture quality is quite good for this price range. As always with HP, no clogged print heads and good online support.Beware downloading the whole HP software bundle. Most of it is for the benefit of HP trying to sell you ink.Try working with just driver and utilities.

Quick, easy setup printer
My daughter needed to print documents for her teachers with her being remote part of the week, I wasn't always able to go somewhere to get them printed so I wanted to find a printer that was compatible with our Macbook's but not be super expensive. This printer was exactly what we needed. It was an easy setup and connecting to our computers. I love HP's new Instant Ink program. It won't automatically send us ink when we may not need it. It monitor the ink levels in the printer. We couldn't be happier with the printer.

Don't buy for the scanning feature - barely works
I'm connecting the HP all-in-one printer to my Mac. It prints very well and reliably so. I really like that part.I use the scanning feature as much (if not more) as the printing feature. And it's really frustrating that the scanning feature is soooo spotty. When it can connect to my Mac, it works like a charm. I love using the built-in scanning feature of macOS. When the printer can't connect, it's a totally different story. In order to scan, I have to use the "HP Smart" app to do so. "Magically" I can connect to my own printer if I create an HP account and use the HP app, giving HP access to all of my scans???? And if that's not bad enough, the UI/UX element of the "HP Smart" app is so bad I want to pull my hair out every time I need to use the scanning feature. And on top of that, I've tried to search online, far and wide, to find solutions to the connectivity issue, but to no avail. The are no online articles and no online forums that solve the issue. (Plenty of posts about other customers having the same issue). The is no HP customer support that solves this issue either.I regret buying this privacy-invading, non-functional scanner with an ok printer attached.

you have to be patient and get to know her to have her work well for you!
First HP printer I've ever had - Epson printers always worked best for me with my iMac - desktop. But since desktop is now 9 years old, Epsons are not compatible with Mac. So - Apple shows on their site that this particular HP printer is compatible. Well, it is - but you can only buy an older, used one that is refurbished. I wasn't crazy about doing that - but had no choice. Long story short - get to know her: don't use double-sided ( it jams every time, it just wastes ink & paper & my patience!); click on "black" when you want to print (otherwise you're wasting colored ink when you don't have to); only use colored ink for photos or if you have a project that requires color. Also put only 30 or 35 sheets of paper in the printer - not like my older Epsons where I could put a good supply of paper. HP doesn't do that. Technical help is non-existent! no manual came with it - and the on-line manual was for other HPs - they didn't have my HP manual on line! So, you're going to learn to be a little technical here. I can honestly say that ever since I stopped letting it go to double-sided prints - that's the default setting - this little HP has not jammed once! I just hope now that I've written her praises! that she won't let me down. Good luck with this printer. And the ink isn't all that expensive - but the XL and it lasts twice as long - with both black & color. And, I buy directly from HP. Takes a while to get it - so order it before you need it! Bye..........

Set-up Directions could be improved
I like this printer....but, it was a challenge for me to set up. I tried to follow the directions (I'm not a techie person), but got to a point where I couldn't go any further...and didn't know what to do. Fortunately, my son (who is a techie person) was able to "walk me through the set-up over the phone (and it was SO EASY doing it his way). My suggestion....HP needs to REWRITE their set-up directions for non-techie people. One concern I have is that the ink cartridge don't last long at all...I got the extended ones...and less than 70 pages, I had to change the color ink cartridge. Luckily, I will need to use color printing only once/twice a year.

Works great
This was easy to set up and has worked perfectly for two months now. I have used several thicknesses of paper and it handled everything. I am happy to use a renewed printer.

No instructions
Once I put in the ink cartridges it started printing photos from my iPhone12 after I press print. Very user friendly even more Mac friendly!

Customer service person John was above and beyond kind, patient, knowledgable and helpful
The printer could not find wifi and after 2 days of working with HP my internet provider and my router company we could not get this to work. I have a iMac so that may have made it difficult. However the HP CUSTOMER SERVICE TECH PERSON, JOHN WAS AWESOME! He worked w me for hours the 1st day again the next day then called to check on me to see if I was personally ok bc I am disabled and this caused my internet wifi and tech issues throughout my entire house which stressed me and upset me bc my son could not get to virtual school. He warned that the netgear router might have problems once we allow updates to it and yhis is what happened. I do not find fault in hp and certainly not customer service. I believe some things do not work together and it may just not be compatible. I will buy from them again and I hope the review of my printer does not reflect badly on the employees. They were so kind.
