Van Gogh Stained Glass Coloring Book Paperback – June 26, 2007

I'd been doing coloring books for adults for a while when I stumbled across these stained glass ones, which are stunningly beautiful. You can do them with acrylic paint, pencils or gel pens, and you can color them in on one side or on both for different effects. I love Van Gogh and have a huge coffee table book of his work, so most of these are in it and I can compare the colors to the original to create something similar. Lots of fun!

It is not really paper...not sure what it is..but it's really different...and substantial enough for me to use Liquitex Acrylic markers on...the pages are also perforated so the page could be taken out...not sure colored pencils would would on these pages...crayons maybe? although I didn't try crayons.

This was a gift for my 8 year old niece and she loved it.

The little boy I know will love this. It will bring him much coloring joy. And then his mom can hang it up in her window.

It is hard to recreate anything done in paint or watercolor with colored pencils. This was not the best choice coloring book for colored pencils. I love Van Gogh's work and the pages look very nice and are a good quality. You could attempt water color on a very small scale.

Just taught an art lesson focused around Van Gogh. This was an excellent little color book to show the kids the lines and composition.
