These slide bolt latches are SOLID. I was looking for something sturdy for bathhouses at an RV park and these exceeded all expectations. They are very large, thick, and incredibly durable—you can feel the quality the moment you take them out of the box. The matte black finish looks sleek and modern, and it holds up great against the moisture and humidity from the shower steam with no rust or fading so far.Installation was super simple, and once mounted, these things don’t budge. The slide action is smooth but secure—there’s zero wobble or looseness, and it gives guests peace of mind knowing the door is locked. With our configuration, we weren't able to use the included sleeve receiver but rather drilled a hole into the door frame for security.These latches are not your flimsy hardware store variety—they’re the real deal. Strong DEAD BOLT, best deterent to keep property safe from theft. But this device is only as good as the lock you put on it, do not go cheap on the lock to protect your valuables. In all fairness, no lock is truly theft proof, one can only hope that a stong deternet dead bolt and lock will make the thief go look elsewhere for something easier to break into.

The media could not be loaded. I was very surprised at the quality and weight of this bolt. No one is getting through a door with this on it. It was bigger than I thought and didn't fit my door. But oh how I wish it did. I have to return it but if it fit I would be very happy. Im looking to see if this company sells one that will fit. It's got weight to it. Definitely a pound or so. Love it. Bummed I can't keep it. Worth the $$$.

The item is really heavy duty, but there is no catch to secure the lock bolt when you don’t have a pad lock in it. Still works great though!

This bolt is great. Much larger, thicker and heavier duty than I thought from the picture. It can fit a standard sized gym style lock.

Heavy duty stainless slide bolt woks great. I built an outward opening gate and the bolt mounting was offset, so i drilled a large clearance hole in the 4x4, instead of using the provided capture bracket with the receiving opening.
