Not great for plastics.
Heater gets hot fast and seems sturdy enough. Was hard installing by myself with drum in corner. I had to use string to tighten heater around drum. Too hard connecting springs in my situation. Plastic just doesn't transfer heat very well so my water didn't get hot fast enough. Couldn't get to 100 degrees in a hour with two heaters. Didn't even get to 90°. With metal I think it would've. My drum was insulated too.

Works great and at a fraction of the cost of other options
I have 50 gallon drums of coconut oil that solidify at 76 degrees.Options from other companies were much more expensive, but this guy gets the job done easily and quickly.Definitely recommend.

Stays too hot even on lowest setting
Heater control does not work. You can't control the heat. Set on 90 degree and it boiled my honey and cost me about 4000 dollars. Do not buy not as advertised

Worked as hoped
I bought this to keep a honey extractor warm during extraction in a cool garage. The fact you can control the temperature was a key feature. Worked exactly as I had hoped and kept the honey flowing out of the extractor!

It works,so far.
Bought as a replacement for one like it which failed after 8 months. This is a different brand and slightly more money. We will see.
