These are really easy to fit and come with everything required to do the job right down to the little screwdriver. Instructions are very simple to follow - have now fitted three of them - as you would expect they fit the window size perfectly and block out all the light. They are sturdy and easy to pull up and down. Finish off the room perfectly

When I had to start using my loft as a home office, I soon realised that the afternoon sun was going to turn my workspace into a plasterboard lined oven.After the blind arrived, I quickly realised the 1st instruction was to clip the roller assembly on to 2 brackets on the original velux window frame, and to my disbelief those brackets had been removed from the frame well before we moved into the house.One quick email and call to Velux in Glenrothes sorted that out quickly (they were superb to deal with) and now I have my replacement brackets installed and my blind installed to.The instructions are idiot proof and well illustrated, and the Velux design makes it easy to guide each component in to place.Owing to the inherent angles involved in a slanted roof window frame, and the size and position of some screws, it's not a walk in the park to fit. Easy enough but you need a bit of suppleness in the back and a bit of finger strength to get the job finished.Asides from those slightly awkward positions, its installed in no time and my plasterboard oven loft now had a solid sun screen. Couldn't be happier. Thanks velux.

This blind is made by Velux so is designed to fit your window. Pay attention to the model/size codes to order the correct blind. Well made product with a colour scheme to match your room. Has a metallic outer finish to reflect the sun when deployed and this should hopefully stop the blind from fading as my last non Velux one did.The promotional info makes it look like you only need to clip the blind into place, but you will need to use some DIY skills to fit. The side runners and clips need to be screwed into the window frame but all the screws and driver are included. I am not skilled at DIY but managed to fit the whole assembly in about half an hour. The instructions are illustrations only and take a couple of readings to understand. Written notes to the pictures would have been useful, but those of you used to picture info like Ikea will probably find it easy. Once you have done one it would be easy enough to fit another in half the time! The angle of my rooflight and it's location made it tricky to get at but obviously some will be much easier. A good product and works very well, can be deployed by any amount to suit light coming in and when closed gives almost total blackout. Recommended.

The supplier delivered the blind on time. Installation was easy and no tool is required except the screw driver provided the manufacturer, Velux. As the window frame was made with soft wood, it was easy to do the screwing. As my window is at the top of the roof, I have to climb up and down a ladder. Even though, it took me only 30 minutes to complete the installation.
