Nash Hydroslide Vinyl Dipped Ski Belt

Excellent ski belt that is used as an exercise belt for deep water movements. Keeps me upright in the deep end so I can avoid hitting the bottom of the pool stressing my joints. It kept me afloat even when I was at my heaviest weight of 316 lbs . Any one in deep water should use this to help keep u upright and unencumbered to exercise in any manner. It is about four inches wide providing enough support to snugly fit around my waist without riding up into the armpits as most other exercise belts do. The yellow part is very dense and about an inch thick and no matter how tight you cinch the blue belt strap it won't cut into you. Been using same one for 15 years And I have had no tears or breakdown on any piece of the belt. no wear fraying nothing. Having a crooked spine it was hard to find one that would stay in place. Easily secures together by pushing one piece of the buckle into the other and and minimal effort to remove by squeezing one piece and sliding it apart. I have problems with hand strength and dexterity and it's easy to use. I am women's size 12 top and the large was very long. Long enough that the yellow bits almost touch. I prefer to wear it so the yellow ends just sit under my ribs on my side slightly forward around my waist. I could have easily worn a medium as the large was almost touching. I would say get the medium if u wear up to a size 18. Large for misses 20-24 . You don't want the yellow part of the belt to touch each other or u will not be able to tighten the belt. The belt needs to be worn very snug before you get in the water as it will loosen up some once wet. The belt buckle strap provides an extra18 inches of length past the length of the yellow part.

I have a few of these swim belts and they work well while they last. The only complaint I have is the way the strap is held onto the belt with the squares of vinyl. After awhile, and a few energetic swim times in the lake by the kids, those vinyl squares tear making the belt useless. This has happened on both of the Nash belts I had, but they were put to lots of use before they tore. I posted a photo below as an example. The belt in the photo is about two years old, so they do last for some amount of time, and we use them about every day in the summer. It would be better if the straps fed through the belt somehow to avoid the little squares from ripping off. Overall, though, a good swim belt.

We bought these ski belts to use when the kids swim at the lake - the water isn't super clear, and we don't like them to be in deeper water without some kind of flotation, but a full life jacket is overkill and a bit cumbersome to swim and play in. We previously had float belts that had the blue foam squares on them - over several years of jumping off the dock and horseplay, the blocks tore off the belt. We figured we would try these as replacements, and they work great! I think they actually work better than the foam block style, because these are coated and a little grippy, so they don't slide up the kids' torsos as easily. The adjustable strap is perfect for tweaking the belts to get the right fit, and the bright color makes them easy to spot in the water. The kids seem to like these much better, and I think they'll hold up quite well over time.

I bought this belt for my daughter to use in our lake because she can swim, so she doesn't like the constricting feel of a life jacket, but I still wanted her to wear something since it's a lake. This was a bit big, but when tightened, fit her fine. It doesn't keep her head completely above water, so don't buy it for a lifesaving device. But, it does the job I wanted, which is to keep her visible in the water, should I need to jump in for her.

Way too small when went by other reviews: would NEVER be big enough for a large child or small adult. It will fit a 45 pound child or less. Also, strap isn't secured well to the end, so it tends to slip off the end and go over the top, I am going to have to figure out a way to keep this from happening.

It works for a some flotation for sure makes easier swimming and is not as uncomfortable as the life vest, said that I would recommend it for people who are comfortable in deep water and need just a little backup to swim, even if you can’t stay afloat it will help you to do it without effort floating in your back. I’m 120 lbs and I ordered M I could order S probably it will fit better but i kept M anyways

Used this for snorkeling, the only thing is that the strap maybe too thin so it moves around a lot when wet. Otherwise its an excellent alternative to those annoying life jackets for snorkeling.

love love love these .. take them on every vacation ... packs great in my suit casejust strap it on and float with your drink in hand or wear it while your just floating and visiting in the pool or oceancomes in 3 sizes everyone in my family has one thanks to me

I’ve been looking for one like this for a couple years as I had lost the one I had. The only negative I see on this is the strap is removable. It was attached to both ends on the first one I had. I’ll get use to it.

Price is good. It's not a PFD Life jacket but does the job for keeping you afloat when snorkeling and paddle boarding. The belt is adjustable.

This a summertime product which I ordered in the late Fall so I do not plan to use it until Summer 2020. It looks good, fits and I hope will aid me in my water-running next summer.

The belt arrived with deep indents in it that will not come out, it's been 4 days and the foam has stayed like this.
