Cleverbrand Cork Mat Rectangle (450 X 300 X 10MM)

I bought these to use as "heat trays" for cookware as it came off the stove or out of the oven. My new dining room table is a marble surface and my new countertops are quartz stone, so I was conscious of what heat might do. These cork mats are thick and do the job of absorbing and dispersing heat beautifully. I can take a 13x9x2 baking pan out of a 350° oven, set it on the cork mat - there is no damage to the cork and no heat transfer to the counter. When I have guests over, the mats are placed in a row in the middle of the table buffet-style for all the various foods, and the marble surface stays cool and unblemished. If anything does happen to these mats, I won't hesitate to get more!

Cork mat is very firm for table. It’s a good fit and will protect table with warm or hot items.

It serves as a mat to protect a piece of furniture on which I prepare morning coffee. Works fine

I’m very happy with this cork mat! It’s well finished, rounded edges make it look really nice and it’s as thick as I needed it to be used as a mat for my desk plants at work. I am going to order one more to use it as a bulletin board also on my desk.

i’ve read somewhere that the bathmat is one of the dirtiest places in the bathroom. being a big germaphobe, i purchased this cork bathmat because i’ve heard that cork is antimicrobal, antifungal, and does not absorb moisture. sounds like a perfect fit, right? i hope so!if you’re expecting a plush mat to step onto after a nice hot shower, this isn’t the mat for you. it is not soft or comfortable to step on; it feels like the floor, just not as cold. if you’re willing to sacrifice the soft mat for a germ free mat, go ahead and buy this.smaller than what i had expected but works for us being that we live in a condo, so it’s not really a huge space to begin with. wrapping is basic, super simple, no frills.

This piece of cork is useless. It is very thin - not nearly thick enough to use as a hot pad. Very disappointed with this purchase.

I'm not fully aware of the purpose/intent of this cork mat, but it serves my lap serving tray need completely. The only concern is that it seems a bit fragile, but it has held up for a month thus far; on-balance it's a small tradeoff because of its size and convenience.

I would be ok with this if it was $5. We tried to substitute this for the Rangel Kleen metal mats we use on either side of our gas range. The metal dings easily and after awhile it looks like its been through a battle.As for heat rejection..fineAs for easy wipe clean...no way. I dont know what we got on it, but when we wiped it off with the dish cloth two things happened. First the cloth got "corked" and needed washing. Second the stain did not come off. So for a hot pad that can get gunk on it............no way.We bought two. One is trashed on both sides and its out in the shop looking for a home. The clean one will get used on the dining table to hold butter, salt and pepper, etc when we eat at the table.I bought two new Range Kleen mats at Ace for half the price here on Amazon. They look cool and can handle more abuse.
