Love everything about this chair. It's not so low that I can't get out of it, and it's sturdy! Of course that also means it's a little heavier than other chairs, something to remember if you have a long walk.

I’ve read several reviews that said this chair is comfortable. Perhaps it’s just me but that has not been my experience. Im about 316 lbs and the bar across the front begins to hurt the undersides of my legs. The rear also seems to have an uncomfortable pressure point and I have to get up and walk around till the pain recedes. Again, maybe it’s just me but that has been my experience. The only other complaint I have, is that the armrests seem to be attached to thin metal brackets and they will bend so that the armrest is tilts. You can bend them back up but if pressure is applied, they will bend again.I wouldn’t buy one again at this price point but maybe it works for other folks.

Very sturdy. My husband is almost 300 pounds and has plenty of room in this chair. He likes the arms on the chair and the cup holders Both are sturdy and useful. It is lower than a normal chair but not as low as usual beach chairs. It’s a great height. So far so good. Have only had for a couple months. Been toBeach twice.

We were really on the fence about purchasing this chair for my boyfriend because it is on the pricey side. But I wanted him to have a low sitting beach chair similar to mine and his son’s, instead of using his camping/fold up chair like he was initially insisting. He’s 6’1 and was around 350 lbs when we took our beach trip, so I wanted to make sure he had one that was sturdy and that he would be comfortable in. We bit the bullet and bought the chair, which turned out to be a great decision. This thing was like a throne. Super sturdy and very comfortable.We put our chairs by the edge of the water every day we were at the beach and he absolutely loved it. It’s not low enough that the seat touches the sand. It sits a bit higher than some beach chairs, but it’s low enough to enjoy the waves splashing into your legs and feet. He also appreciated the pockets that were on the side for his phone and water bottle. He complimented his chair multiple times during vacation and told me I was right about getting it. :)

I wanted to give this seat a higher score, but it didn’t even last 2 months before something broke. I used this chair for 2 trips within 2 months. Each trip I used it for 4-5 times on the beach. I have been very careful with it, because of how expensive it is. Unfortunately, as I was setting up my chair I noticed the brace had already broken. It looks like an easy fix, but since it was out of the 30 day window the company declined to help. A trip to the hardware store will probably fix this issue. However, a $250 chair should not have anything break so quickly. Just use caution if purchasing.

If you are a big guy, buy this beach chair. Yes its a bit more expensive than other models but it was worth it to me. I am 6'6" and 325 pounds. I do not have to worry about my beach chair collapsing due to my weight since its rated for 500 pounds. The back is perfect and my head rests right on the pillow. My son purchased one and he is 6'8" and slender. He didn't need to worry the weight but he loves the height of the chair back. He can now lean back and rest his head. Since I have more replacement parts that I can count, the chair height is great. I am way past the age where I need my beach chair to be only a few inches off the sand. It is so much easier to get up and down. The pockets on the back, side and front are convenient.I have only two suggestions if the manufacturer reads this review. First, a velcro fastener for the head rest so it does not flop around when being carried. Second, slightly thicker wood for the arm rests. The arm rests are the same as standard beach chairs and I would feel a bit more comfortable if the arm rests where a bit more robust.

Chair is heavy and strong, but because it is so wide the front bar bent on mine. Its too wide a span to hold your weight at the middle. I weigh 350 - 150 lbs below the capacity rating.
