So my handy husband is very into woodworking lately , he just built a FREE STANDING back deck for our new house , sturdy and beautiful. so I got him this wood planer for other house projects he is planning to do , like a dining table, a bench with coat hanger , shoe rack ,etc...Well , I didn’t use it , but he is trying it a lot on his woods since he got it, I Haven’t heard any complaints about this tool I got him . I can tell he enjoyed working this wood planer on his woods . I m looking forward to see him make more beautiful things.

I gave an earlier review on this planer not being so good. I saw a video on this item it was encouraging. But I still only give it 3 stars. It's good enough to learn with. I use it to prep rough cut lumber for the thickness planer. The problem I had was the adjustment knob is tricky to use and the front plate does not sit square. I turned the inter spring a 1/4 turn and that helped.

Exact clone of the Makita planer. Only difference is that the RPM is a little lower. Uses the same blades that are very commonly available. Seems to be well made too, but only time will tell on that. Nice that it includes the tools to change the blades. Very good value for the price

The knob, at any/all settings, doesn't change the depth at all. It didn't plane any of the multiple boards I tried, other than that, not even equal to using an extra fine grit sandpaper by hand. It also didn't come with an owners manual or instructions. I wasn't able to locate anything online about the manufacturer, the instructions or a manual. Amazon wasn't able to find anything online about the manufacturer, owners manual, or instructions either. It came with a small 4 page product description and safety precautions pamphlet with atrocious grammar and spelling, that instructs user to read the manual before operating. Very dissatisfied! I'm returning this product!!!

We were remodeling the room , useful for Grinding the excess, such as the door is too high, the angle is wrong. must have one

It seems someone saw an electric planer at work and decided to make one without looking inside of it.The circular metal pipe thing inside the front foot is too long resulting in the front never being able to be zeroed to level, it always HIGH.The spring inside the metal pipe is almost incompressible, helping to make it unzeroable (even if the pipe was shorter).Result, a planer that cannot Ever be adjusted to plane.updateI took the spring and heated on my stove for 2 minutes then compressed the spring 1cm with a pliers and then dunked it in water.The knob now adjusts beautifully so i`m improving to 2 stars since i`ve used this as a learning aid for a better planer.

A much better tool to make fixing old wood look new.

Looks good to use have yrt to do so.
