Our dogs kept getting in unpredictable fights - with our older reactive rescue attacking my new girlfriend’s dog. We put gates up and kept them separated for almost two years until they could be in the same room together. We spent hundreds of dollars on dog trainers but still there were intermittent squabbles that we were unable to predict. We didn’t feel we could give my dog away because she had been through so many failed adoptions before I got her and she was deserving of a home and my kids and I loved her. I bought this collar and there was one more fight and then never again. The two dogs were able to live together and became friends. We were able to take this collar off and put it away. After 8 years together my now wife’s dog died of cancer and old age and my rescue dog has been inconsolable. She sleeps with me this collar now because it still smells like him. I am so grateful for the 14$ I spent on this and saved our dogs’ relationship

Exactly what I was looking for at an affordable price. I have 2 dogs and one of them likes to chew the Seresto collar off the other dog. That gets expensive so I bought this spike collar to put over the Seresto collar and it works well!

I just got this so this is really just a review for size.I was worried when I got this that it would be too big. It looks huge! But it fits my dog just fine.No I did not get this for fashion. I got it cause my dog is acting like a puss and letting other dogs tear up her neck/face area. They’re gonna find out real quick not to do that anymore.

This collar looks cool and we got it for our off leash hiking in the Arizona desert. It’s perfect for that but it’s no joke… this this is heavy duty and sharp! Buyer beware this is a functional collar not for looks!

I had this for my dog who passed in 2021. It held up amazingly, we did lots of hiking and camping, and not a single scratch or tear. He's had it for years. It still sits around his urn, still not a wrinkle in sight. Good collar.

I know this dog collar looks very vicious. That was the main reason that I brought it,also because of the spikes themselves. The reason that I did purchase this dog collar is that a few times while walking my dog, some random dog comes out of nowhere and of course, when dogs fight, they go for the throat and the face. But once that other dog realized that that was not a good thing to do, he took off. Now the next dog a few weeks later that came out of nowhere was a smaller dog but that small dog did not know it was a small dog.I don’t know why people do not maintain control of their animals by keeping them on a leash. Having my dog on the leash as always is what prevented a very bad situation from happening in my opinion. The owner of the other dog was so lackadaisical about the whole dogfight situation. And unfortunately, a few weeks later, the same little white dog ran across two lanes of traffic to get to another bigger dog. Will his owner ever learn.

I wrote a review shortly after having purchased this collar about a year or so ago and it was good. Not really sure I need to go lower than a 3 right now, but as the pictures show, this collar was ripped in half. My dog was attached to a tree by his lead and a few deer came by... my dog took off and didn't even seem to flinch when the collar ripped in half. It's a great looking collar, certainly makes for a mean looking dog and really looks heavy duty. I'm not saying it's not and perhaps mine was flawed, it's a safety feature, or my dog (not even 2 yet) is just that big of a beast, but it still didn't do it's job at a time it should have... I have ordered a new one because of the pros and I'll see how it goes...

Cannot speak to the durability of this product since we've only had it for a week. I am writing to inform others who may have been ignorant/misinformed as I originally was. I know nothing about dogs and thought people bought these spiked collars to make their pet look intimidating. Then the other day, while I was out walking my wimpy, scared of her own shadow Brittany Spaniel, she was attacked by two very large, well-built pit bulls, one male and one female. The female grabbed her by the face and mouth area and the male grabbed her in the crotch, both locked on. I will spare you the gruesome details of the 5 minute attack, but I must say that by the mercy of God, she survived. However, I learned that these collars are worn to protect the dog's neck from such attacks. Even though she was wearing a pink smallish collar during the attack, the fact that she had something around her neck probably prevented the female pit bull from grabbing her by the throat. This spiked collar takes that protection up a notch. It is heavy, but not to the extent that it makes my dog uncomfortable, or prevents her from freely sniffing around during her walks, and it is very well made. It's not fashionable for a shy girl dog, but it does serve a good purpose.
