I use it on both a glass sliding door and a wood-framed window, and it sticks securely to both. The twist-to-tighten design is super simple but really effective. Why I love it: My cat used to slide open closet doors like a pro — not anymore. My dog figured out how to nose the patio door open just enough to slip outside — not happening now. My cat was driving me insane by getting into our sliding mirror door closets. He would eat my clothes so I was determined to find some way to keep him out! This was it. The price point is amazing, the quality/convenience is also there. If you’re in need of something similar, this is your sign!

My youngest cat is very determined and athletic, so we can't leave treats and certain toys out in the open and I have to hide them in the closet in the office since we play with him in there often. The closet has sliding doors, and while it took him quite a few months, he has figured out how to open those sliding doors to get to his delicious treats. This has been amazing at stopping him from breaking in and tearing up treat pouches across the house. It's easy to install and use, and doesn't look super ugly if you're not able to place it in a spot that isn't eye-level. The lock itself is movable/reusable if you have extra fasteners, like 3M adhesive hanging strips. You'll need a blow dryer, or something to heat up the included adhesive backing so that you can pull it off of the door. It's not hard to do, it just takes time to heat up the adhesive to make it soft enough to pull off and prevent damage.

This can work for some doors as a safety measure. Easy to use and a good design. The size works well, but not for a heavy solid door. This works good for a hollow door and a child that is not strong. Great for maybe a puppy.

Perfect shape and size, but it's fallen off twice now and all thats nudging the door is gravity and a medium dog.

The adhesive torn the wall when the door was accidentally opened. Perhaps my barn doors are too heavy for these.
