Innovo Medical Forehead and Ear Thermometer, Fever Detection for Adults and Children White and Silver

I had to spend some of my FSA money for year's end, and desperately needed a thermometer. This fit the bill. Bright, easy to read digital readout, light in the hand, and incredibly simple to use. Removed one star because according to the instructions, this requires the user to actually touch the person's forehead in order to get a reading. most infrared thermometers I've seen only require you to hover above the person's head, but the actual sensor is inside of a cover, so only a plastic cover touches someone, which is easy to clean, so I'll get used to it. Buy one

Happy that I don't have to stick anything under my tongue and wait. I like its aaa batteries because the button batteries drain too quickly. I have rechargeable aaa on hand. Its got heft to it. For me, since I take my owm temperature, I have to be very quick about reading the display, since the light goes odd quickly. I know I can go to history to see what it was, but its faster/easier to take my temperature again because accessing history takes too long.Again, happy this is instant read.

Update. Dec 2020. I received an email with some trouble shooting tips from the seller and the issues I was experiencing have been resolved. Very pleased.I purchased this thermometer based off of the great reviews and recommendation from a friend. I have not received an accurate reading yet and I even changed the batteries to make sure that wasn't the issue. I know the readings are not accurate because I compare the result against my old thermometer and it reads way less.

Not being a joker with the tagline but what can you say? It is a thermometer. I have not used it but my wife has and she likes it. It is as described and shipping was very fast. At this point I can recommend it based on my wife's comments but it remains to be seen as far as longevity.

I've actually been using these for a few years prior to the Pandemic, however I've found the reliability and accuracy of most of them to be poor. I've found the Innovo Medical Forehead and Ear Thermometer to be reliable and accurate when measuring forehead temperatures (I have not used it for an ear temp yet).It's more accurate than those you see people using to screen people for fever outside their business and I feel this is reliable enough and accurate enough to use in my clinic.

I bought this item and a pulse oximeter on 8/1/2021 and have not had the occasion to use it until very recently. It doesn't work! I put in fresh batteries and there is an error code of "CA2" on the screen. It seems the 'head' button is stuck - it doesn't move or click like the ear button. There is no manual or trouble shooting guide on the Innovo website. Pretty disappointing.

As you already know, there are hundreds if not thousands of thermometers on the market making it extremely difficult to decide which one to buy. Currently, I have 3 thermometers and each one gives a different temperature reading and none are consistent.So far, the Innovo JPD-FR100+ is accurate and consistent with its readings. And the ease of use is great, takes about 3 seconds to take your temp.Note: When I first turned it on, the display read ER-1 (ambient temperature exceeds 104F) but went away after about 5 minutes the error disappeared. I live in Arizona and it was 114F outside when the package was delivered.

This is the second brand of forehead thermometers I've bought. The first was not bought on Amazon and it was very inaccurate - I sent it back. But this one works perfectly!! I use it everyday on my family. I've had a few times when the temp was a little higher and each time I would then try the oral thermometer, and sure enough, that was higher too. So it's very accurate. And it works instantly - no waiting, like you do for an oral thermometer. And no worries of transferring germs. I absolutely love this thermometer!!
