Works very well. It's well made. Don't be tempted for cheaper ones. I tried and it did not work at all, not even for one second. This is my second one. Good company.

Best CF reader I've ever used.
The best CF card readers I've ever used. As a video professional I've tried several brands/makes of card readers over the years. I own 4 of these and they have NEVER given me any problems (other brands have had problems and/or been slow to offload).

Allows newer and faster UHS-II cards to perform correctly.
If you are buying a UHS-II SD card ( the ones with additional connectors ) you need a compatible reader. This reader allows faster transfer speeds when compared to previous generation readers.

Works for Compact Flash
Bought as a present for a friend who has a camera that uses compact flash cards and I have been given the thumbs up when I inquired about how it was working. Compact Flash cards require the reader to has a mass of small pins that fit into the compact flash card's corresponding sockets. Cheap pins would bend easily in the card reader, which is a complaint for the inexpensive readers and why I didn't go cheap. 5 Stars based on current use and the general experience of others form multiple sites (benefit of the doubt), unless ever proven otherwise .

I'm running Ubuntu Linux and this reader plugged in and worked perfectly, no effort at all... and the price is great.
