My hair has a natural curl pattern when it's not wet, but it is dry and frizzy. My hair is long, thick, and incredibly porous. Even when I attempt to wash it, it takes a long time for the water to penetrate the hair shaft. I have spent so much money on hair creams, serums, oils, and leave-in conditioning agents, that I can count...UNTIL I spent the money on Joico. After a recommendation, I purchased the large shampoo, conditioner, and the Recovery Treatment Balm. (I never heard of Joico before and was skeptical because of some mixed reviews). Before use, my hair was so dry that I used a spray bottle to wet small sections of it, and then I slathered from scalp to tip-end the Recovery Balm. I didn't even attempt to wash it first. So after applying the Recovery Balm and gently combing my hair in sections, I immediately noticed my hair was hydrated, smooth and it felt awesome. So, I twisted it up in 2 buns on the top of my head and decided to leave the treatment overnight and rinse the balm in the morning. OH My GOODNESS!!! Just OH MY GOODNESS! I have HYDRATED DEFINED curls for days, and my hair is soft, shiny, and free-flowing -WITHOUT frizziness and tangles!!!! I'm truly thankful I have found my hair treatment and look forward to weekly use!

I love this. Nice on moisture for those with dry hair. I mean if your hair has enough moisture and you know this, don’t buy it and complain that your hair felt weighed down. My daughters hair is curly, spirally twisty and curly and many different curl patterns., beautiful but it gets dry and frizzy. This stuff definitely helps with that

Joico Treatment Balm has been a staple for my curls for years. Even when I was super into the "curly girl" method and the zealots would have burned me for using an unapproved product, I used it. It helps detangle when I've left wash day go for too long, it smooths and moisturizes, and smells nice (but isn't overwhelming).The only negative is the tube material is so stiff I find it difficult to squeeze with wet slippery hands and almost impossible to get all of it out at the end unless I cut it open with scissors and scoop out the last few treatments worth.

listing issues- The pics are misleading. There is one pic of just the treatment balm and then another pic of 3 bottles that are the shampoo, conditioner and treatment balm. But the listing title specifically states it's a shampoo and conditioner set. We received the treatment balm, not the shampoo and condition. Will be emailing Amazon about this.The brand and product itself- Daughter has previously used the conditioner- and from previous use, the conditioner is a good product and she does like it. And needs it as her hair is color treated. Recommend the conditioner if you can actually get it.

I absolutely love the Joico Moisture Recovery line! This stuff just took my conditioning to the next level. Goodbye frizz, hello healthy air dried curls or beautiful blow outs. I am in love!

I've bought this many times now and here is why: My long, wavy, mature hair just soaks it up. I am 58 and the texture of my hair has been getting more brittle and dry. This is the only conditioner I have found that brings it back to life. I scrunch it in then wrap my hair in a top knot. Then I put a thin plastic shower cap on, secure the knot with a hair tie, wrap in a towel and relax for about half an hour. Do your hair a favor and try this stuff. I"ve never been disappointed by it.

I have recently lost hair and what I have is dry. This product puts a healthy coating on my hair so it doesn't tug when I comb it. And my hair feels thicker! It was recommended by my hairdresser.

I bought this to help managed my bleached hair. It works! It leaves it soft and shiny. I do not have curly hair but it is wavy. I like it bc it does not feel heavy on my hair and works wonders against breakage. Honestly, I prefer this product over the expensive Olaplex. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was the packaging. There is a small tear that occurred causing extra product to come out.
