Best rye besides mitchers

If the price is right and you want a Rye whiskey for sipping, mixing, or cocktails then I'd recommend this. It's not got the depth of flavour of more expensive whiskeys and can't be compared to a bourbon or a Scottish single malt. It has the traditional spicy notes of a rye that don't suit everyone, but I would recommend it if that's what you're after.

This was recommended to me by a friend.if you’re a fan of rye whiskey you must try this. Super smooth with a lovely aftertaste and the price is hard to beat.

Have used to make old fashioned and whiskey sour, and it's very nice in both. Rye whiskey to me is just so so smooth, but still very tasty.

My 'go to' Bourbon. It is best drunk as a 'sippin whisky'. It is everything an American whisky should be....smooth, rounded with a hint of bite to let you know you're drinking whisky. To 'drown' it in a coctail or with a mixer would, in my opinion, ruin it. The only downside is the price has rocketed relatively so if you can find it at around £30 a bottle it's a bargain.
