Contigo AUTOSEAL Grace Water Bottle, 24oz, Watermelon

I was needing a 32 ounce water bottle to replace my current one. The one I had was too large to fit in my cup-holder, had an exposed straw (unsanitary, easy spills), and a side handle instead of a top loop. This water bottle fit the bill for everything I was wanting in a replacement, and in general, I love it. I have a Saturn and it does fit in my cup-holder. It is hard to find a 32 ounce water bottle that has a convenient lid (i.e., not a canteen style screw on) and doesn't look like a thermos, so I ultimately decided on this one and a 32oz Camelbak. The auto-seal lid is great, and I haven't had any problem with leaks. But, it does sweat. A lot. I really wish they would make this size with a double-walled option like some of their smaller sizes for better insulation and sweat reduction. I live in Phoenix, and it only takes a couple of minutes for a ice-cold bottle of water to become lukewarm when being carried outside on a 110 degree day without double-walled insulation. The only other negative is that it does take some getting used to with how you need to hold your mouth around the opening. Overall this bottle fits my needs, but if you don't NEED a 32 oz and can do with something smaller, I would go with an option that would allow you to have double-walled insulation.

I bought these water bottles to cut back on disposable water bottles. I have a brita filter home and just fill these bad boys when I am ready to tote them around. They are a bit too big though for me. They are 24 oz and when I bring it to work, by the time I am half way thru, the water is warm. They are a bit too heavy once they are filled also.I will start filling it less when I take them to work and perhaps that will help on both issues.Its a great way to save the planet though. Whether you purchase these or another brand it is the route to go. Stop buying water folks and leave a smaller foot print.

Decided to break these out for the new biking/hiking season. First, I filled them 1/3 full with water and froze them---worked fine, no distortion or cracking. After I filled them to the top, I put them (on their sides) in the trunk of the car and let them roll around for several miles/minutes to check for leakage---again, they performed as they should, with no leakage. Then, I placed them in a backpack and hiked for several miles, occasionally pulling one or the other out for a drink---again, they performed as expected, the valve system worked easily and perfectly, it was very easy to drink from these bottles, and there was no dribbling. To test the coldness retention, I then carried one out in the open (air temperature was approximately 73F and it was sunny) while leaving the other inside the backpack---the ice in the bottle carried in the sun lasted maybe 2 1/2 hrs while the ice in the bottle carried inside the backpack lasted over twice that time.Next, I'll test the bottles on a bike trip. For now, I'm very pleased with these, would recommend them to anyone.I'll update this after some time and more usage.Update, 06/27/14: Since I wrote the first review, these bottles have been accidentally dropped and deliberately frozen out of shape (the bottoms bulging but then returning to their original shape after thawing), without any damage.

I bought this bottle as a lightweight bottle to carry in my bag. I wanted to increase the amount of fluid intake so I figured having a water bottle at all times would encourage this. I like the weight and volume of the bottle. I bought the bottle in the color watermelon. It is very pretty. I like how the button you push is strategically placed under the loop so you don’t accidently push it open and spill and liquid in your bag, car or etc. I wouldn’t use it for any other liquids besides water because the mechanics under the cap seem to be a trap for lots of particles. It also looks kind of difficult to get into to clean. All it might need is some soaking time in soapy water to clean but I just don’t want to complicate a simple task of cleaning a water bottle so I am just using water in this bottle and that is what I recommend. But to each their own.

I love this bottle! Perfect for those who can't make themselves drink enough water a day. I admit, I'm quite lazy about drinking the "8 glasses of water a day," but I found this bottle so enjoyable and convenient to use that I am easily drinking more than 48 ounces a day. It is not heavy and I can easily stick it in a large handbag. Best of all, it doesn't leak!! I can have this rolling in the bottom of my purse all day and not worry about any water spills. You can even drink with this one-handed. (I like to fill this with half water and half ice cubes.)I haven't tried this with anything else but water so I'm not sure how other liquids would hold up in this. The only reason I think this may not be good with sticky or thick liquids (juices, sodas, shakes, etc.) is because the cap's autoseal would make it cleaning out a serious hassle. If anything sticky remains, it might impede the autoseal mechanism and prevent the thing from opening altogether. However, something non-sticky like water or cold black tea (nothing hot, thick, or sweet/sticky) would be no problem.I usually wash this out every two days with dawn dish detergent and hot water just because I'm paranoid about bacteria building up.

I try to drink 128oz. a day, so I wanted the larger size bottle so my quest would be 4x of these. I got tired of the camelback style straw because you can't gulp from it (for working out, this might make sense, but not for daily use). I love this mechanism. It keeps watertight no mater what, but I can sip or gulp as I please.Small nits: I wish it had a clip instead of a finger hold so I could attach it to bags (e.g at the airport). Also, I like to add flavor drops, and the top can be a challenge to wash out without a bit of a production (soak in soap, or dishwash).I highly recommend this product.

This leaked when I first received it. I was refunded straight away by the company. I took my chances and bought another one and it's brilliant. No leaks. Easy to use and to keep clean. No rubber spouts to collect dirt. It's fab and I will buy another one soon as I use this one for work and night time so forever washing it, need another!!!
