Perfect! Works with Echo Studio!
Working great with my Echo Studio without having to purchase a separate hub.Comes with double sided tape, screw, reset pin tool and holding frame – so it's easy to take off and clip back on whenever the battery needs changed. The Sensor's actuator can be up to a cm apart and a red LED flashes when its state changes. The LED is inside and can only be seen when it flashes. To add in the Alexa app:1. Tap the plus top right2. Scroll right to the bottom and select Other3. Using the reset pin tool, push in the reset button on the Sensor for 5 seconds4. Select Zigbee on the app5. After 45 seconds it should find and add the Sensor!Has great compatibility! You can setup routines to run when it's open or closed, only run between certain times and suppress running in case the sensor's state changes too fast.Would recommend and buy more, just wish they offered a multi-buy deal.

Easily registers with my Echo 4th gen
This SAMOTECH motion sensor registered with my Echo 4th gen in seconds, and within minutes I'd programmed it to trigger my kitchen lights on and if it received a "nothing detected in 5 mins" it would switch off the lights but If I was moving around in the area it would stay on until 5 mins after I left. The response from a detection is pretty quick before the programmed routine triggers. This is not a pet immune sensor so you will get random triggers while a cat/dog is prowling around the detection area.Edit: Since the new update in Feb 2024 it works with Home Assistant so now gets 5 Star rating.

works well for the garden shed
inexpensive way to alarm a shed and alert you if needed. Battery doesnt last long about a month so have to keep charging but it wasnt too expensive

Motion sensor - very poor detection
I bought this to try and save some cash over buying another Hue motion sensor; lesson learned. It was a little fiddly to set up using an Echo as the hub but eventually worked. The range of detection is nowhere near that quoted. We’re using it for hallway lights and have to be within 1m (2m on a very good day but this is the absolute maximum), and directly in front of it for it to detect motion.. The manual states a detection range of 5m and 170 degrees, this is definitely not the case and as it is it’s completely useless as we have to walk right up to it in the dark and wave at it for it to work.

Set up took a few attempts but working well
Instructions okish - a Chinese translation. Detector would not pair with my phone initially and kept saying ‘timed out’. Had to follow the help section within the app and paired first time using ‘Ap mode’. Now working well and get movement push alerts almost immediately. There is a helpful battery meter on the app but I have placed detector in a low traffic area as I guess batteries (3x AAA) wouldn’t last long if triggered many times a day (or it could be turned away from heavy traffic until needed).

Almost works....
I bought this as a replacement for a new SonOff Temperature and Humidity sensor that proved problematic from the start. This was problematic too. First, it was very difficult to pair with the SmartThings Hub. The Samotech website explains that you have to go into the IDE and reassign a new Type: "Smartsense Temp/Humidity Sensor". The instructions can be found here: https://www.samotech.co.uk/products/temperature-humidity-zigbee-sensor/At first the temperature/humidity/battery readings all stated 0°C/0%/0 (ie., discharged). For several attempts I deleted the device, added it as a "Thing", reassigned the Type and eventually I got a temperature reading. Overnight the humidity readings started to come in. However, the battery charge value has remained stubbornly at 0.Samotech have stated the Device Handler isn't perfect and reports of zero battery charge are not uncommon. (Personally I feel Samotech should state this in the product description because the device is not 100% compatible with SmartThings.) For many, having to edit values in the IDE is just not good. (I'm OK, I already do stuff in the IDE, but who, having been weaned on 'plug and play' for years, has the nouse to open a Samsung SmartThings account and start tinkering with stuff?).Having said all this I am at a loss as to which humidity sensor might work better here in the UK.Samotech say they hope to write a new device handler - but when?. Clearly the device works (almost) if you're a bit nerd-ish; for everyone else, it's just not market-ready).I have decided to keep the sensor in the absence of anything else. It has to fulfil an important task: notifying users and switching on a fan if the humidity in the drying room goes above a certain value. (There are problems with the SmartThings automation too, but this is not the place to describe those shortcomings).
