Solid board for most people
So with trying to find things to do during quarantine and wanting a decent board for a while I decided to pull the trigger on this one. It is overall a solid board. Giving it a 5 based on functionality and cost. (Likely overall give it a 4.5 but they don’t let you do that and nothing is inherently wrong with it) I will get into pros and cons along with some other thoughts for people in deciding if it’s the right board for you. So overall, it has most of everything you could expect, wide variety of games, the ability to set certain options (double in single out, etc.), and I haven’t noticed anything like dead spots or darts failing to register. In terms of bounce outs, which I know people complain about with a lot of boards, I will say this, when it comes to soft tip boards, it’s just as much about your tips as your board. So for this board the generic ones that come with it are just fine, but more importantly if you are buying tips, then go with Vipers 2BA Tufflex Tips II. Those based on the thinner point diameter work very well with this board. I have yet to have a bounce out with these or the ones that came with. A middle ground would be something like Wolftop 2BA double dimple design tips, not as good as the tufflex 2 as they are ever so slightly thicker. If you go with the Tufflex III however, you will experience bounce outs. Why? The tips are much/ noticeably thicker than the Tufflex II. Simple science, larger peg going in a smaller hole. Also, while the two sets of darts that come with it are fine. But if you’re buying a board like this I would imagine you have a set or two of your own that are likely slightly heavier. For reference I shoot with 18 gram darts. Pros: -Good board with good variety of games for price. -Easy enough to mount to whatever you want with the screws that come with, just make sure it is tight and you will be fine -Good register with no bounce out issues. -Lighted marks for scoring in cricket (the slash, X, and X with circle along with score) -Ability to play solo against the computer with 5 levels of difficulty -Functionally gets the job done and has worked well for me Cons: (these are mostly nit-picky but should prove helpful if deciding) -For cricket scoring and all others, displays 2 players, so if you have 3, while player 3 is shooting, you can’t see where player 1 and 2 are at mark or scoring wise. So say you play 4 or 8 with this, it’s impossible to keep track which matters in close games of course. (Had I done it all over again I may have got one with 4 players display at once) So it shows the overall score of players 1-4 at once it only shows, 1-2, 3-4, 5-6 ,7-8 marks based on who is shooting. And if there are 8 players, then scores 5-8 replace 1-4 up top when you get to those players. Ultimately if you are going to have a lot of 3-4 player games of cricket maybe look at one of the models with simultaneous 4 player display. -The sound is slightly silly in some regards, it exclaims “miss” when you are say playing cricket and don’t hit a scoreable mark instead of just remaining silent. It’s more silly annoying than anything, and it’s all or nothing with the sound, so you either turn it off and get nothing, or have to hear that on occasion. -The computer skill level is a bit silly in some respects. In most games it doesn’t matter, but in say cricket, the strategy of the computer never changes, shoot for bullseye first, and then start at 15 and work its way forward. No randomness about it ever regardless of what you hit. So in essence, if you are playing cricket against the computer, close what you want but against the highest level of difficulty, be ready to end the game in 5 or 6 rounds or lose at it (the computer player) will work down the line and close out what it needs to in order every time with a round or two of variation in shooting singles doubles, triples, etc. Then of course if you are ahead in score, after, and only after it closes everything out will it look for the highest open number and hit that to catch up. It is good in a way that it puts some pressure on the player to be accurate and obviously the levels can be adjusted, but ultimately there is no strategy involved so it’s not the same as playing against a human in that regard. -No round counter -No back button (sounds silly, but if you accidentally move forward on someone’s turn you can’t roll it back, you can only skip a round for everyone) I know more Cons were listed, but like I said, nit-picky stuff mostly, hopefully helpful for those looking at this or others like it.

Good looking dart board with a funny heckler option. Problem area around the bull’s eye!!
Good quality sound and score keeping was simple to follow. Straight forward and easy to use when changing games, changing volume, and adding players. The heckler option kept me laughing and is painfully distracting. Luckily, easy to turn off or lessen the amount of zingers. :D I had 1 problem with dart board. The area just outside the bull’s eye didn’t work. No sound, no light, no score no matter how hard the dart hit the board. This area is located at innermost part of the triangle, at the very bottom and applied to all of the numbers. I called Amazon to troubleshoot and/or replace the dart board. The customer service rep was excellent, but nothing fixed it. I was then connected to Arachnid support. I went through all the troubleshooting again and nothing brought the dead zone back to life. The Arachnid guy told me to fill out the warranty slip, take a picture of the board, send proof of purchase, mail it all to Arachnid and THEN they would get back to me about my OPTIONS. I had only owned the board a little over a week and their Arachnid product had a malfunction. I didn’t want to be without a properly functioning dart board for weeks or be stuck with a bad board either. I was very disappointed to say the least with Arachnid customer service. The Amazon rep stepped in and because I bought the board through Amazon, I was protected by their return/replacement policy. I was grateful to receive a replacement dart board in two days. The new board works perfectly and scores all the darts with no dead zones. I played in a dart league for 3 years and while this dart board isn’t bar quality tough, it’s comparable and lots of fun! Thank you Amazon for watching out for your customers and a big thank you to Taura!

Love the heckling board! My old one had had too much use and half of the spots wouldn't read anymore so needed a new one.

Definitely had issues with shipping, board volume, registering a hit...
We currently have an Arachnid Cricket Pro 650 that we've had for about a year and a half. Yes we have bounce outs and sometimes the board may do a couple of odd things but we have learned how to remedy any issues we've had so we really have no issue with the 650 except the display only shows 2 players at a time and the 750 has 4 players visible on the display when playing cricket and that's the only reason we were replacing our 650 model. We play darts with family and friends on a regular basis. We definitely had issues throughout the entire process of purchasing a new 750 model board. I made my original order on Saturday January 21, 2023 with an expected delivery date of Jan. 25. On Jan. 25th I was told it was running late and would arrive on the 26th or 27th. On Saturday the 28th support admitted the new board was lost in transit and helped me by ordering a replacement that was guaranteed delivery on or by Tuesday January 31. Again running late the replacement dart board arrived on Feb. 1. We put the 750 board up and tried playing the first evening we received it. The 750 model has 4 volume settings. We like the audio of a dart board so we had the audio volume set on high because of people having conversations and a little back ground music. The high volume only lasted a short time. The audio became muffled and no longer was loud enough to understand with friends talking etc. Audio volume was never an issue with the 650 model. When you put in the name of each player the volume was always loud enough when the name was announced but everything else was muffled and low volume. Also at that time the single bulls eye would not register a hit on the right hand side of the single bulls eye area. Anyway we were tired of dealing with the new dart board and support issued me a return slip. I packaged the 750 model back up and delivered to the UPS store on Feb. 3. Six days later when writing this my account has not been credited for the cost of the purchase. If or when I receive a refund I'll update this review with the final outcome. We would still like to have a new dart board that shows 4 players on Cricket, maybe we'll give the 800 model a try. Update 02/17/23: I did receive my refund. I've been an Amazon customer for many years and with everything we have purchased this was only the second time I've felt we had a major issue which is a compliment of sort. I'll definitely remain an Amazon customer. As frustrating as it was we understand "things happen" sometimes. After this we'll just stay with our current dart board for now. :)

Great when it works
I live in New Zealand and ordered this from Amazon on what would have been Sunday in the US. Well it got delivered the following Friday which I thought was amazingly quick considering it had visited 3 cities in the US, plus Hawaii and Australia en route to NZ. I was very impressed as the cost of shipping of this pretty large item was quite low as well. However, when I put it up and started playing, I found 2 complete segments - 12 and 18 - wouldn't register at all, although occasionally a hit half way up the 12 would register as a bullseye. I was very disappointed to say the least. I contacted Amazon through their online chat and within 5 minutes I was advised that a new one was on it's way and my account had been credited with $10. I was quite happy about that. I received the new one a few days later, after receiving an email that it was delayed by 1 day due to a mechanical problem with a plane or truck. I had a bit of a laugh about the size of box the new one had been shipped in - it was huge, much bigger than the first one. They obviously wanted to ensure this one didn't get damaged en route! Anyway, when I put this one up, I'm happy to say it works perfectly and it's a lot of fun. I read in other reviews that the darts aren't the best and that the flights fall out quite easily, and I definitely concur. I'm a complete newby so wouldn't have known that other darts don't have the same problem. So at some stage I'll buy some new darts. In the meantime it's not that big a deal for me. My only concern now is that I received an email stating that unless Amazon receive the old non-working dartboard back by the end of the month, they'll charge me for the second one they sent me. When I went to ship it back to Amazon, I found that return shipping to the US was extremely expensive. The cheapest I could find was $90 US, which was at least double what it cost for shipping to NZ. However, I have confirmed twice with 2 different Amazon online chat people, that the shipping cost will be refunded to me, although I'll have to wait 60 days from when they receive it. The funny thing is that the 2nd person advised me that they'd received the faulty dartboard back already and everything was resolved. Very strange considering it was right next to me at the time. Anyway, I've now shipped it back and hopefully everything will work out in the end. All in all, it's a great dartboard, and a lot of fun, and I don't blame Amazon for the faulty one and in my opinion Amazon have been great to deal with and would say their customer service is top notch.

Excellent Recreational Board Near Bar Quality
General: Overall this is an excellent board, and I believe an excellent value, even at this price. The board plays very similar to a bar board at a fraction of the price. It is not without its issues, but those are outweighed by its benefits. Pros: -Excellent playablility -Multitude of games -X/O feature very nice and readable from a distance -Few bounce-outs -Sound effects announce number and score -Solid construction -Easy Installation Cons: -Darts that come with the board are junk. You must buy your own, unless you love chasing flights after each throw. At this price point, you probably own your own darts anyways. -Bulls-eye malfunction: About once every 5 games, you will hit very close to the bulls-eye on say a 15, and it will score as a bulls-eye. The "bounce out" button allows for correction. -Although the X/O display is lit, the numbers the X/O's correspond to just above it are not. So, from the throw line, you can barely see what numbers you need unless you memorize the X/O numbers. Basically before each throw you say I need 1 more of the second number from the left. -CPU Vs. mode is useless. The CPU throws dreadfully slow, and even in novice mode(easiest) typically throws will be triple 20, triple 17 and double bulls-eye. Unless you are near pro, just play by yourself. Even with the list of cons, this is still a 5 star board. I know it is expensive, but when you see that the playability is similar to a bar board at $3000-$4000, $250 seems like a steal. Just remember this is a recreational board, and it is not without minor issues. Thoroughly pleased with my purchase. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!
We Are LOVING this board. I learned to play darts on the arachnid machines that you feed cash to, at the bar. I used to play often with friends and really enjoyed the experience. I was looking for that same feeling in purchasing a board for home use. The large machines at the bars are usually made by this same brand so I was hoping for the same quality and feel. I am pleased to report that I did get the quality and feel I was looking for. We have had 3 game nights using this board and are really enjoying playing all the standard games. We like the sound of the announcement on the board and while it is loud, if you have a group of 4 to 6 people in your game room or play movies or Tv (like we do) then the volume is great. My husband and I both really like the darts that came with this board. Others are describing them as "heavy" and resulting in "heavy throws" which make it hard to get the darts out. We are not finding that. In fact, I was concerned about this issue based on other reviews. I went ahead and ordered the "Dart pro soft tip plastic darts, 4 colors, pack of 12". We played with the arachnid darts and had great accuracy, nice grip and NO BOUNCE OUTS or misses. We tried out the dart pro darts and lemme tell ya... dislike! Those darts are way too light and feel terrible in hand. They bounce out a ton and we often had not nice/errant throws with those flimsy darts. I do not recommend buying those, unless you have never played darts before or you want them for guests/roundy children. The display here is great and easy to read once you get acquainted with it. I was a little overwhelmed at first but then we learned how to operate it and it's a breezy. Keep the manual around, it clearly explains the set up on new game/adding players... I am thinking of making a quick start guide for guests. We also really like that this is not battery operated but it is plug in. We happened to have an outlet right below where our board is plugged in so it worked out nicely. Keep that in mind when purchasing. Dos: Order some extra arachnid darts, just like the ones that come with this board and enjoy your board. Don'ts: do not order the plastic, cheap dart pro darts as suggested in other reviews. I looked at other boards here on amazon, some more $$ and some less $$ but I am convinced that I paid a great price for a nice group of useful features and a quality item. Highly recommend!
