do i get rid of old radio kit to install this? or do i install it just below the original radio ?

this is to install below the original radio. you would take out the compartment under the original radio and replace it with this kit. you will also need the "Scosche Axt12 12-Inch Antenna Extension Cable" in order to keep the antenna function of the radio.

How do you get the clock set after the install? The clock is lit up and flashing for me and it will not let me set the time for it.

Hold the clock button down and use the preset buttons to set the time. Turn the key and make sure the radio isn't trying to play music. Where it just shows the clock. Hard to explain over text

Do I need to cut my factory wire harness to connect on to this one, or is it as simple as plug in it in?

I installed in a 2005 Honda Accord LX. You do not need to cut anything. You can connect the existing head unit, if you still want the clock, or connect direct and have the factory unit display off.

Will this work for my 2012 honda accord?

No! The product description clearly tells you in the Product Description that this kit is strictly for the Honda Accord 03-07. That means 2003 through 2007. No, it will not work for your 2012 Honda Accord.
