A week ago I got my V Moda headphones out of their case. Admittedly it has been nearly a year since I last used them. The headbands PU leather was flaking off badly, on the underside of the headband and what was left underneath the PU leather seemed very thin and delicate. Researching my options, a new V Moda at over £100 and then having to unsolder and re-solder the drivers to switch headbands was not an option. Then I found this, easy to fit and it does not look to bad (of course I prefer not to have it on them) but it's way better than tatty shedding PU leather. One other plus is the headphone are a more comfortable, not that they were uncomfortable before but the neoprene padding adds a degree of comfort and is noticeably more comfortable. It is gutting that plus £200 pair of earphones are manufactured with PU leather on the headbands. I understand why you would do so with ear pads but they are easy to replace. Yes I have had the V-Moda's for around six years but still I am sure they could have used real leather or even another material and not tried for a leather look.

My V-moda headphones have served me well, but the band started flaking at an increasing rate. Figured I'd give these a chance as there is nothing wrong with the headphones otherwise. The cover fits snug, looks all right and though it does firm up the cushion somewhat, my headphones are still very comfortable.
