Acer KN242HYL UM.QX2AA.001; KN242HYL 23.8" Screen LED-Lit Monitor

I *LOVE* this monitor. Okay, it's got mid-range picture quality and moderate build quality.These are the reasons I love it. It's a great business/bench-top monitor:- It plugs in to anything: VGA, HDMI, DVI. DisplayPort passive adapters address DisplayPort.- VESA mount for multi-monitor desks- Basic usable speakers. They're nothing special but for basic business and testing use you don't need to buy speakers. Plug these in to a business desktop with an HDMI cable and you won't need to buy speakers.It's non-descript and no-frills but it's not ugly and the display quality and brightness are totally suitable for 95% of people.It's a very low-cost monitor with all these features.

Good monitor for the price and works as expected.

Not the best of monitors, but for the price, definitely 5 stars. No major problems like dead pixels. Some problems and concerns though:1) HDMI connector may have issues, since screen was slightly staticky unless I wiggled the cable connection and firmly pressed into place.2) Monitor and base holder are light, not exactly a bad thing, but it seems a little flimsy because of it.Otherwise, the monitor performs all its functions without error. Been using it for over a year. I suspect I'll get maybe 2-3 years of use before problems start to show. I assume that manufacturers have designed this monitor with "planned obsolescence" in mind.

The monitor arrived today in great condition, as did the base. The riser/stand, however, had a broken tab/foot. The broken piece literally fell out of the box. I called Amazon who put me in touch with Acer. After spending approximately 30 minutes on the phone with Acer, they refused to provide a replacement riser/stand. Likely a $2 part. I was told by Acer "any physical damage is outside the warranty." I was under the impression Acer was looking for ways to avoid making things right. I was asked the date of purchase (2/2/18); was asked if I had proof of purchase (yep); was asked if the part arrived broken or if I broke the part putting the stand together (literally arrived broken). Once Acer had all of this information, they still did not do the right thing. So, I cannot recommend this product or anything from Acer. What I can recommend, however, is Amazon. Cande of Amazon stayed on the phone with me the entire time and then, when Acer would not do the right thing, she provided me with great options and made me happy to be a Prime Member. Thank you, Cande! I love Amazon!

Nice monitor! Good price! Volume of speakers is very low. I have to turn them all the way up to have normal volume level. One review I read said monitor came with all cables. Mine came with power, sound, VGA, and HDMI cables but did not come with a DVI cable. Instructions in package indicated that DVI cable should have been included. Called ACER about DVI cable and they referred me to seller. Called seller and they said DVI cable is not included in package.

I picked two of these monitors up for gaming and watching various media content. I have to say they are an amazing monitor for the cost. It has great viewing angles, great colors, superb refresh rates and is over all a great choice.

These monitors work great for the price, with an excellent viewing angle and brightness. I highly recommend this monitor for the price. We are using these monitors at our office, and the end-users love them.

The volume is very low. That is the only problem I found. The quality of the screen is very good.

Great monitors. I bought them for day trading. They were recommended to me because they are vivo mount. It sure made my life so much easier! Thank you!
