DEWALT DXF2042 Industrial Fan, 20 Inch High Velocity Fans with 3-Speed Adjustable Tilting Head, Drum Fan for Outdoor, House and Warehouse, Yellow

The media could not be loaded. Another awesome DeWalt product! Wanted a powerful drum fan for the garage and was thrilled to find one by DeWalt. As expected it is of a high quality; feels solid and made to last.Some assembly was required for the wheels and stoppers on the base, but the fit of the pieces was easy and seamless. Phillips screw driver for the stoppers, and socket for the wheels. All hardware included. Has a dial for speed which is nice to customize your cooling, a sturdy handle, easy to roll wheels, a long cord, and a built in cord storage on the control unit. Well made, well thought out, functional, looks great with the DeWalt colors too. I expect to use it to cool off while working for many years to come. Why did you pick this product vs others?: DeWalt makes quality products, and it was the size I need.

This is a purchase that was a guilty pleasure. My husband always wanted one for the porch to combat the summer heat. I said absolutely no. This year I had all the heat I could stand. Works great. Can be considered noisy but it moves a lot of air.

This thing blows hard!

Purchased the DEWALT DXF2042, 20 Inch 3 speed fan to replace my 18 inch fan used in my small shop (10x26) and for camping. Choose Dewalt because of the name brand, price, low noise level and CFM’s. The fan is OK, nosier than the 60 DB’s advertised at medium and high speeds and appears not to hit the 5000 cfm’s advertised. I cannot test the cfms but can provide the following on DB ratings.Using a SLA Lite DB meter sound levels at 10 feet from the fan are on average: Low speed 57.2 DB, Medium 65.1 DB and high 69.0 DB. If the advertised noise level is 60 db’s at low speed is what they are saying the fan hits the mark, medium and high missed. If DB is measured closer than 10 feet low speed will exceed toe 60 DB’s.For the price right out of the box the DEWALT DXF2042, 20 Inch 3 speed fan is OK. A very powerful air circulator, great for moving around cold from window units or portable A/Cs. Extremely loud, though.

First off, I really liked this fan. It moved a lot of air and helped keep my shop tolerable. Unfortunately, it stopped working after 11 months. Now, any product can have a bad individual item, and yes I am very likely to get the one that is not up to par. I have no problems with that. And, I would not have written a bad review had I received proper support. The fan has a 5 year warranty, so it is well within the time frame. The problem I have is lack of service. Trying to find help on Amazon's site is virtually impossible. I finally worked my way to a distributor that ships for Amazon. Guess what.... I was directed back to Amazon, which we all know is a waste of time. Then I get an email from Amazon wanting to know if I received satisfactory resolution. There were a few questions, that was it. No place to give an explanation. So I did what a reasonable person would do, I replied to the email. Well, that was like farting into the wind. Next email says it is not a receive email page, and directed me back to...., you guessed it, the Amazon website. And, when you click on the options, you get sent to the regular sales pages. I am so frustrated it is beyond belief. Man I wish there was an option for another company that offered virtually any item you could ever need, that competed evenly with Amazon.

It’s like a mini tornado in the best way possible—super powerful, keeping the warehouse (and us) cool even on the hottest days.The fan is built like a tank, too. Sturdy, easy to move, and it pushes out some air. Plus, it’s got that classic DEWALT toughness—you know it’s built to last (hopefully another 8.5 years and beyond!).Bottom line: If you need a reliable, industrial-strength fan that can take on anything, this is the one!

So far this fan works great. You only need a medium head phillips screw driver to attach the handle and the feet, which is easy to do. I recommend this fan!
