One of the nicest B550 motherboards I've had the pleasure of building systems with
One of the nicest B550 motherboards I've had the pleasure of building systems with, well built, nice layout and is just a really nice board to use as a base for an AM4 system.Performance is top notch, have built with Ryzen 5 5600 and Ryzen 7 5800X CPUs and they've been impeccable in terms of performace vs cost. It's a very understated little board, it's a tank in disguise. My small gaming PC comprising of this board, 32Gb Klevv 3600mhz DDR an AMD Ryzen 5 5600 and nVidia 2060 Super still plays games at an acceptable FPS at 1080 with medium settings and a few performance tweaks to make it acceptable to my needs and eyes !Can't fault it at all .. especially as it has an ARGB LED setting in the BIOS which can be set to OFF !! Top board, really nothing negative to say about it at all.

Really good value
OK so it's not the best 500 series board out there but the 5 star rating is simply because of value for what's included - two M.2 slots for your NVME drives, Wifi, a USB-C header (check your case has a USB-C port - if not just leave it unplugged), two 3 pin RGB headers, and two 4 pin RGB headers,.Oh and it has 5 fan headers, which would be enough for most people I would think. And while I have only installed low power CPU's like 3600 and 5600 on it, according to Hardware Unboxed it also handles more powerful chips surprisingly well considering how light it looks. Superb board!I should also add that I only installed NVME drives in this board, no SATA SSD's so I can't speak for how well placed the SATA headers are if you had a long graphics card installed, but just from looking at it I'm guessing you would be fine, especially as they are side mounted and not front mounted like a different motherboard I recently worked with, which was a pain

Good board, reliable and does the job
Bought to replace a B350-A. Works perfectly with no issues since purchase. Used with a 5900x and supports it well (bios update needed, but bios flash makes this very easy).Good quality, wifi works well, and I would say worth the purchase if you're not looking for anything super high end. You can still overclock on this board if needed.

Great Board, Layout Could be Better
I found this board really easy to install - being an ATX board there's plenty of space. It comes with a heat sink to help keep the primary NVME disk (if you have more than one) cool, and it has *loads* of fan connectors distributed around the board (at least 6) so that cable management can be kept under control. It also has RGB headers at the top and bottom of the board which are useful if you're into RGB.I used the BIOS custom fan curves to set up my fan curves, which lets me keep my machine cool & quiet without needing additional software slowing down Windows. Check out YouTube for loads of videos on MSI BIOS - I found it more confusing than old school style BIOS set-up, but having built in overclocking if you want it, is nice, as is the fan control. My one real quibble is that the primary NVME is tucked in between the GPU and CPU, which means if you want to replace it (or as in my case, it dies), you need to remove your GPU and CPU cooler to be able to get to it. The secondary NVME slot is really easy to get to, and it's a shame they're not the other way round. All in all though, I do like it, it's really good value for a B550 board, and happy to recommend.5 stars - I love it4 stars - I like it3 stars - It's ok2 stars - I don't like it1 star - I hate it

Great board and surprisingly heavy
Fantastic motherboard. Has a surprising and really nice weight to it. Overclocking is a joy with this board. Expansion ports are nicely spaced and the board is very well laid out. 6 fan headers plus cpu and pump mean I can turn my rig into a small wind turbine. Biosis well laid out too

Worked first time.
Previously sent a MSI B550 Tomahawk motherboard, arrived damaged and failed to boot up. Had that one returned and in the meantime ordered this motherboard as a replacement. Plugged in and powered on- no issues so far. Will monitor and update appropriately.
