Guajillo Pepper - Powder (4 oz) common pepper in Mexican cooking

Never tried this before, and now that we have, I am very sorry for all the time without it. It's awesome! It has a unique, delicious and very noticeable flavor my wife and I really enjoy on almost any meat, but it's turned our air fried carrots, squash and sweet potatoes from just very good side dishes into even better side dishes! :-) In its own way, the flavor of the ground Guajillo pepper is as notable as onion or garlic powder, but it's in no way overpowering or unpleasant and it's what really makes the dish incredible. If you have an air fryer and would like to try making about 4 large servings of one of the veggie dishes featuring ground Guajillo Pepper powder, try this: 4 cups carrots, butternut squash or sweet potatoes (peeled), cut into similarly sized pieces about 1 inch square. 2 tblsp Guajillo powder 2 tblsp mixed ground peppercorn medley 1 tblsp garlic powder 1 tblsp onion powder 1 tblsp Tony Chachere's original Creole seasoning 1 tblsp dried parsley 1/4 to 1/3 cup avocado oil 1/4 to 1/3 cup melted butter Add the bite-sized bits of your chosen vegetable to a large mixing bowl. Mix the herbs and spices with the oil and butter, then pour the seasoned liquid over the veggies and mix well, until every piece is covered with the seasonings and liquid. Cover the bowl and place it in the 'fridge for one half to two hours. It couldn't hurt to shake everything up a time or two if marinating longer than 30 minutes. Add the crisper plate to the air fryer cup, place the cup in the fryer and preheat at 390 F for 3 minutes. Remove the cup, add the veggies in a single layer (crowding is okay, just don't pile 'em on top of each other), return the cup to the air fryer and air fry at 390F for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking, until done. That's it -- couldn't be easier (except maybe peeling and chopping the butternut squash and to a lesser extent, the sweet potatoes). Adjust the herbs and spices to your own taste, but the ground Guajillo is the key to the whole thing, so don't skimp. :-) We haven't tried it yet, but maybe some dried ginger, about a teaspoon to a generous half-tablespoon or so would be good. Make it your own and enjoy. ;-) How good or bad you think the veggies are will be up to you, but the ground Guajillo Pepper? HIGHLY recommended!

This brand is good tasting and fresh tasting. Not like some brands that taste like dusty old socks. Guajillo has a mild kick, with a nice hint of smokiness.

This is an excellent, flavorful seasoning. Usually I’ve soaked the dried peppers, then had to prepare them as the recipe directed. This has the same depth of flavor without the time involved in preparing the pepper. It is definitely equivalent in quality/taste & so much easier to use! Also, the sturdy, sealable bag keeps it fresh and protects the spice from deterioration due to light. I highly recommended this product!

So I cook a lot and when using spices I love the Spice Way spices, nice value for the money, always fresh and package seals well after use. I normally pour into my smaller containers and they last for quite a while, I have some over a year from order and the chili powders still smell and taste fresh.
